Hello, everyone! This is Aly (@.gyunyusuga) 👋
I'm not sure if you noticed (other than people i'm close to), but gyunyusuga got suspended a week ago. I tried making an appeal, but Twitter/X hasn't gotten back to me since my request for recovery. +
Micah: We knew we were gonna get a lot of support (in the Philippines)...
Fan in the background: MICAAAAHHHH!!!!!!! 📣📣📣📣📣
Micah: Just like that 😁
(Also that shaka in the end is so cute wtfhdhdhshs)
Japan winning a silver medal for the first time in 47 years in a major volleyball tournament! I'm so happy to witness such phenomenal team. 🥹
Congratulations, Ryujin Nippon! 🥈✨
With Japan's win today, they climbed up to the 2nd spot in the World Rankings! (as of June 23, 2024 // 12:33pm UTC)
This is the highest ranking i've ever seen Japan in since i started supporting them (2017ish) 🥹 Congratulations, Ryujin Nippon!
Yuki: By the way, about the coin toss... I lost all three in the final round. 🙃
Replies
Taishi: I don't see a single sign of progress.
Ran: My theory is that even if you don't tell all the losses, people probably already knew. 🙋
Yuji: I didn't expect much. 🤨
HELP HSHHSASHSHA
ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR RYUJIN NIPPON!!!!
After winning in 5 sets against France yesterday, they won in straight sets against USA today! THESE MILESTONES IN PHILIPPINE LEG! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Nishida: "I put aside family time and private life behind to come this far. I will do my best to show you my medal."
At first glance, this sounds quite sad, but if you think about it, Yuji knows where his priority lies at the moment, and I'm sure Sarina feels the same. 🥹
Team Yuki: *wins a point*
Team Yamauchi: *appeals*
Team Yuki: *chaotically appeals back*
Team Yamauchi: *more appeals*
Team Yuki: *decided to settle with rock paper scissors*
*Tatsunori winning the point*
These chaotic kids istg 🤣
"Tatsunori is cooking 🔥🔥🔥"
That's two consecutive pipe attacks from Tatsunori! Also, we can't leave the touches from Yuki and Aki unacknowledged, those sure kept the ball in play 🤩
A send-off event was made for Kentaro Takahashi in his alma mater, Yonezawa Chuo High School, for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
"I was so thrilled to have them do a send-off party for me to go to the Olympics, which I had always dreamed of going."

Yuji was like "i was today years old when i found out that Slovenia only lost to us in this year's VNL" 🤣
His reaction after finding out that they cut off Slovenia's winning streak 😆
Ryujin Nippon who won in full set against France, then won in straight set against USA on the next day. I'm glad to witness these milestones in the Philippine leg! Insane 😭🙌
#VNL2024
I remember when Japan also broke the led screen last VNL 2023 because they cheered so hard for a point 🤣 the fans were joking "oohh that's coming out of their paychecks" lmaooo
The final all-nighter for this VNL for Japan vs France in the championship! 💪
For now, congratulations on securing your place in the gold medal match, Ryujin Nippon! 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
Ryujin Nippon has landed safely to Poland for the 2024 VNL Final Round!
Next game would be against Canada 🇨🇦 this coming Friday (June 28) at 12:00am Japan time (June 27 @ 11:00pm Manila time)
As someone who has been supporting RJN for a long time, I can attest that they're also like this even in their home country, yet the Japanese fans have never taken offense at it. There's this thing called "cultural difference".
A few fans complained of Japan as "too cold and unapproachable", and t'was a waste of money for the tickets.
They took nothing from your ticket revenue. They are paid by JVA not to please you but to represent our country Japan.
Don't be so pathetic and entitled.
Amen to the universal player 🙌 let's not forget that his debut game in international stage (VNL 2021) was playing as OP in the absence of Nishida due to an injury. Tatsunori was informed that he will replace Yuji on the day they arrived in Italy. And he executed PERFECTLY 🔥🔥🔥
THE RISE OF TATSUNORI OTSUKA 🔥
With Ran Takahashi out of the roster due to injury, Japan's universal player has stepped his game & will play a crucial role in their SF match vs Slovenia TODAY June 29.

Yuji and Tatsunori doing the coin toss challenge by themselves, and it seems like Yuji is planning to make more Youtube shorts with all Ryujin Nippon members 🤣

Coach Blain said that it was so agonizing that he only had to pick one libero for Paris. because the difference between Tomo & Ogawa was so small. He said it was very tough emotionally and he had to make a comprehensive decision with the smallest details.

The fact that the game is going as a very fast pace is actually super scary 🥶 no one is backing down on the serve receptions and attacks. We are indeed in the VNL championship.
So it was Coach Manabe's idea that Sarina & Yuji should show off their lives outside volleyball more, and also the one who suggested that Yuki and Mayu do an interview together. Apparently, this is his tactic to make people talk about volleyball more.
Ran humored everyone in the send-off ceremony by introducing himself
"My name is Ran Takahashi and I have 2.2 million followers on Instagram. We will definitely win a medal. I will also do my best to increase my Instagram followers to 3 million" 🤣
Captain Ishikawa: "I'm the captain of this team, so rather than having personal goals, I prioritize the team over myself. It all comes down to how well we can perform as a team and whether we can win a medal."
Kentaro (during his HS days): I want to be a national team member because of people's high expectations for me, and I want to play an active role in the Olympics."
When he returns to the gym where he learned volleyball, he's wearing a silver medal, & finally, as an Olympian. 😭
Otsuka: "I had a lot of emotions. But rather than feeling frustrated. I had no tears of regret. For the past 3 seasons, Panasonic has nurtured me, and they were a very good team, with very good seniors and members."
🔗
Ishikawa about their Olympic pool
"This is not an easy pool by any means. All the teams are very strong, so we cannot afford to lose our heads. Germany and Argentina matches are very important (to win)."
⚠️ Italian interview with Yuki ahead! Feels 😩
What he misses the most in Japan
- His family and friends. Not so much with food because he likes Italian dishes
Why is Yuki’s jersey
#14
- That’s his number when he first came to Italy, and he is also using it in the national team
- About the next game against Canada
Yuki: I think it's going to be a good match because Canada, the team we will be playing against, is also very good.
