We did a thing last night for kids…recognized a youth basketball team (many more to come) at our home opener. Thanks to 5th grade CTK Silver team, (coached by @TomPaonessa ) who got to high 5 the starters during intros, then got introduced at halftime and scrimmaged on the court.

Congrats to Troy Berschwinger for Section 2 AA DPOY, Justin Kapusinsky for 1st team, Giovanni Simeone and Braeden Kennedy for 2nd team, and Michael Scuzzarella for HM on offense! Dillion O’Brien and Gavin Motto made 2nd team, Antonio Cipollo and Dwayne Jackson for HM on defense!

Modified edged out by Saratoga, 42-38 for its first loss of season.Was a seesaw game with the Dutch leading 16-14 at half but then had to mount a double digit comeback in the 4th only to fall short. CJ Hoffman had 12 points, Jack Wasserbach added 8 points and Noah Witazek with 6.

Varsity was competitive tonight against outstanding Shaker squad; trailed just 32-30 at halftime but a Bison surge defeats Dutch, 63-42. Nick Ruf (four 3-pointers) scored 14 points and Troy Berschwinger added 13 points.
