I was just called selfish for not wanting children. First, I'm disabled. I can only afford to eat one meal a day with what I make. A splurge for me is sometimes ordering a second meal. Second, I wouldn't magically get a pay increase to pay for diapers and toys and clothes. 🧵1/5

Someone told me they hate my book covers. It hurt my feelings until I realized that I don't care. I like my covers. If I were searching for something new to read, I would pick my books based on the covers. No offense to the authors who have the plainer covers, but that's not me.

I can barely afford rent at my one-bedroom apartment that has no playground or anywhere for children to play outside. Fifth, I have no transportation. Getting to even fill my prescriptions is a challenge. What kind of life is that for a kid? This isn't even mentioning 3/5

the issues that come from being disabled. Yes, I take meds now, and I'm a lot better than I was. But I'm in constant pain from anxiety, and I have multiple panic attacks a week, like up to 3 a day. So yeah, I probably will die alone with my cat, thank you very much. 4/5

I was called a leech today because I'm disabled, and it really hurt. If I could have a traditional job that understood that sometimes I don't know what's real and can't focus on a spoken conversation, I wouldn't live in poverty off government assistance.

A 6-9yo(?) just almost got bit by my dog. I told him my dog doesn't like children, and he ran up to my dog anyway. My dog lunged, and I had to pull him back. Consent needs to be taught earlier. It's not something the kid feels; it's something I say and can revoke at any time.

I just found out one of my favorite authors is kinda a jerk. Idk how many times I read Ender's Game, but I always thought it was so layered. I still like the books, and I'm able to separate the art from the artist, but it still sucks.

@AubryAndrews I went through an extra absorbant pad + tampon every hour when I used to have periods. I literally had to set timers during the night so it wouldnt look like a crime scene when I woke up.
