Oh how I wish I could live in Scotland. What a difference between Johnson and Sturgeon who is working within the restrictions Westminster puts on Holyrood. Even before independence is mentioned. A possible 4 day week. Dental charges abolished. Just two examples of many.
Three buses did not turn up. Over 90 minutes for a bus home. Listened to a lady with arthritis and a bad back and how at 65 they are trying to make her work. Apply for jobs. Threaten to sanction her. Soon she will be on Restart again. And could have to travel many miles with a
A radio news presenter says "We will "all" be awaiting to see which of the Royal Family will attend church on Easter Sunday. All? Seriously? Sorry I am not one of them. No doubt the media will.
20 tons of rubbish removed. Flushing. Cleaning. Sweeping.19 hours to do it. Numerous vehicles and 215 members of staff to remove the mess at Leicester Square.
The media this morning is referencing that Johnson is talking about changing rules so agency workers can be used to avoid disruption by strike action. He knows that will escalate the situation. Its never their fault because of their policies. Esp towards the rights or conditions

He still finds people willing to have a selfie with him. Grinning inainly. A non drinker but still uses alcohol as a prop. The only child in the image does not seem impressed.
So Johnson is pushing obesity again...they do this approx every few months. Long before the virus crisis. The cabinet are such examples of perfection. Look at Coffey and Johnson for starters.

Mark Francois MP speaks up for Truss after she speaks to the ERG and also talks up spending on defense. I won't take any notice of what he says. Nor anyone else in the ERG. When you see who are members of it. There's right wing. And then there is right wing.
I'm sorry when Emma Barnett joins

I may truly give up. I can see that my criticism will increase even more. Unless I want to become even more angry. I see her along the lines of Julia Hartley Brewer and Carol Malone.
Why does Johnson want to feed children via Universal Credit? A big reason is...its not as easy to qualify as many think. It comes with conditions that they hope means parents won't be on it for long. You are easily sanctioned.

Barely 9 hours to a big birthday here...I have a couple of cards I can put up. The day will be quiet. I have been offered a little tea the following day and then we'll go to the Music Club in the evening. So its mostly delayed by 24 hours. But it is a birthday week right?
He's done it. Andrew Bridgen has put a letter into the 1922 committee. It could be a resubmission. The difference is Bridgen never really liked the rules of lockdown. The furlough scheme. He likes low taxes. Isn't keen in what Sunak has done. So he's against Johnson for different

to have the "jab" one of the club members was quite stroppy "Why are you wearing a mask? You don't have to" I forceably said "Its my choice and I do wear one" Looks like it should never have stopped. And if he now wants to shop or travel he'll have to wear one or starve.
@JoshuaPotash
They worry about...socialism...people leaning towards the left politically. But fail to see a lot of countries are right wing and fascist. You can still have successful businesses and nice things if you want a fairer and a more caring society. Its not either or...
So...Blairites within in the Labour party are raising money to support those who want to go up against Corbyn according to The Times(hidden behind a paywall)and they say the fund is standing at £250,000. You won't be surprised who is donating...

I could not get it out of my mind. The recollection that the British military were involved in some way with Yemen. That means the British G'ment was too. But buried in my distant recollections the name Aden kept surfacing. Then this arrived on my timeline today...
British colonel Colin Mitchell known as "Mad Mitch" for his ruthlessness speaking in Yemen in the 1960s. This colonial, supremacist attitude hasn't changed.
I don't know that Westminster should be getting a Summer Recess as the virus crisis continues and the effects of Brexit cause problems. George "useless" Eustice has announced some kind plan to keep the shelves full in shops. They need to be watched. And held to account.

I want my Mum 😫 I haven't touched the garden. I haven't done housework. I have done absolutely nothing. Even doing nothing its been a painful day and I don't give in to pain. Even the CBD capsules have failed today.
I have already voted. The only time I absolutely became really committed to a party and actually paid money to support it was when Jeremy Corbyn fought to be Labour Party leader. Supporter numbers were up. Finances were up. I now hear people are being emailed 1/
So Suella Braverman was asked what she thought about the discussion on raising benefits. She wasn't bothered about whether they are raised in line with inflation or wages. "There are too many carrots and not enough sticks!!!"😠
We learnt a lot in the interview with Simon Clarke MP Nothing good. He may as well not have been invited on to the programme. Either another fall guy who drew the short straw. Or just proof of how g'ment ministers are struggling.

I was scared of her years ago. And she still comes across as angry and deranged. Now a pensioner when I hoped I would feel reasonably secure and less worried things don't seem to be looking great.
Hello...its me. Have you missed me?
My phone totally packed up. Had to buy a new one.
Now struggling for my favourite websites to accept me I may have to create new accounts.
It is going to be a learning day
Anecdotal. Virtually no talk of Queen Elizabeth or King Charles when I was out last evening. Age range? 55 years to 86 years. Most want it all over and done with even if they briefly acknowledge a positive view The Queen. Its the over the top coverage that gets them down.
Another hospital visit. Waiting for an ambulance. At least a four hour wait. I'll see you when I see you. Put up with the pain for 7 hours before phoning them.
If I was already using the minimum of gas and electric I certainly won't be using more as the charges go up. Its what else do you attempt to reduce paying for to redirect money to utility bills. And what when you can't economise any further?

He has to try to put on a brave face but it must still hit you knowing that you are out of your comfort zone. And hearing real people. Not straight out of a car into a office mingling with similar types or those who are smooching you hoping to get something.
Morning. I do hope all who have wished me a Happy Birthday and long happy retirement see my thanks and appreciation. I have slept all through the night and only woke approx thirty minutes ago. Not an early start. There is sunshine too. More planned tidying. Really getting there.
@DailyMirror
It will kick off again with this lot. No safety measures on either side. That desperate for a pint. The pub is as irresponsible for opening at midnight encouraging this. I hope those who give out licences or watch how they follow regulations react accordingly.
So all the media interest. Debates in parliament. Promised action. Indignation and rederict over workers sacked earlier in the year by PO Ferries came to...nothing. In reality it would not surprise me if secretly many Tories would like to see other companies behave similarly.>>
See what the g'ment have done there?
We've moved from "Stop the Boats" to demonizing the unemployed, ill and disabled again. Back to the favourite Tory targets again.
Its must be galling for the British g'ment being part of NATO, the G7, The UN but being kept out of meetings attended by all the member countries of the EU. Tough. You wanted to leave so accept it.
So I won two chocolate Easter eggs. A bottle of Rosè wine. A bottle of brandy and a £10 gift voucher for a local butcher on the town at the Easter Raffle at the bingo getogther on a Sunday night.
I have a feeling that this Autumn and Winter is going to be more difficult to deal with than the original lockdowns. Emotionally as much as anything. I am expecting it to be more difficult.
They are still talking of me going home this afternoon. Need blood thinners. A catheter removing from my naughty bits. But I think that I'll take it easy for the next few days. There is talk of getting me mobilised.
PIP review form sent. Now its wait and see what happens next. Whether its leave me alone. Do better. Do worse. Complain. Re-assessment. I can do no more.
Hi Everyone. I am so very tired. I could not get the last item I hoped to at the Supermarket. Then I decided to go mad and buy new bird feeders and bird food. To feed the birds like I uzed to. Its always more when you start again. The winds are the wildest they have been all week
Keep your loved ones close to you. Events whether on the world stage or locally show how unpredictable life can be. We never know what is about to unfold❤
@lolwestinghouse
They treat the public at large much the same as they treat the vulnerable in general. We knew their idea of sovereignty and making their own policies for the UK would be a failure. The clues have been there through our history for all to see.
I can accept a harder lockdown with more restrictions if we are not penalised further financially and not pressurised about working. And we are all treated the same. I don't need Johnson doing his Churchillian style speech to the nation. His waffle and silly terms.
All Tories from Johnson to local councillors who lost their seats or survived keep saying "Lessons have been learnt" "We heard you" "We're getting on with the job" What does any of that mean? Its empty words.
Tory MP doing the media rounds today says he has been "categorically assured my number 10" what Johnson etc...did/didn't know regarding Pincher or dealt with the situation was done so correctly. But they would say that. As he will if he's being sent out to defend his party.
have had breakfast. Porridge, toast and marmalade and a weak coffee. Cathater removed. No complications. No heavy lifting for 12 weeks. Told I have a big cut. It was not keyhole surgery. But who cares if I am better.
Not been told when I go home but it is today.

Many of the "other" workers should show unity but 1)Many cannot because rules introduced over the years have killed the effectiveness of withdrawing labour. 2)Some disputes in other professions are not noticed. 3)Many professionals in well paid jobs or who are bosses>>>
Tempting fate? I am feeling great🙂perhaps I have turned the corner. I did get out. Came home with Greek yogurt. Kefir. Wholemeal bread. Dehydration sachets. Lactose free milk. Finding that I can eat. And I feel fine afterwards. The week ahead could be starting well.

And how Cameron ridiculed Corbyn with his "Wear a suit jibe" Doesn't look like the exercise/losing weight is going well either for trying to stop possibly catching the virus again(?)but he keeps telling the British public we are obese. He looks unkempt.

My latest electric and gas bill has arrived. I use no more than I have in the last 10 years. My duel fuel agreement runs for another 4 months. Its gone up by £7.50 per week😢😠that's £390 annually. And we know there is talk of another rise in April.

1 in 5 want to work. May be able to with support. But I see coercion. Pressure. And too many have been constantly been at the wrong end of dodgy assessments by the usual companies who carry them out. Usually resulting in questionable results. Ignoring of medical evidence>>>

Radio stations announcing our electric and gas bills will increase in April. On top of everything else. 😢 😠 As people lose their jobs. Food prices rise. And G'ment reduces help to struggling families. The average could be an extra £96 annually for 15m households.
I have had to fight the system all of my life. For others. My parents. Myself and with barely 3 years before I am a pensioner its still a fight. I think I would still be fighting if everything was fine. But it would be lovely to know its through choice and not because I have to.
@BBCLauraKT
@mrplannings
That stood out the most. And it was probably more dignified than laying into the likes of Johnson and the rest. She and her husband did credit hard working Home Office staff and lets be frank they do the hard work. Their hands are tied if the g'ment won't OK the deal.
@AntonyBlampied
I walked into our music club. We are careful even if masks are removed. I had just come out of a taxi. If I have continued to wear one in a shop and public transport and have chronic illnesses and am immune system compromised I will wear it in a taxi. Esp when this driver refuses

Can't have those abroad seeing them when the media shows the "British" all self falgelating and showing masses weeping and wailing as one. We are all one happy nation. Just as we were when the Olympics were held in London. Its one big PR exercise.
@BBCFLauraKT
And though the dispute is still going on and strikes are not happening. The media and newspapers happily drop the story. It should still be covered.
Been invited(if its not cloudy/rainy)tomorrow to sit in a garden with my elderly friend and her special needs son. Have a tea. Maybe even have a vodka and lemonade. She's keeping it a surprise.

They'll jump even if we do that. I'm likely to be affected by standing charges. I have a little hot water for washing at a sink. That's gone up already. Its the electric. Already for a bedside lamp. A kettle. A radio and fridge freezer I now pay £25. So if I was cooking>>
Morning...I don't feel well. The cough isn't too bad but I feel zapped of energy. Taken two Co-dydramol and a warm drink. I think I'll give the bingo a miss tonight. It will keep me safe and others there too. I have plenty of food. Stay safe. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.
