The Nomad exploit is similar to the Compound exploit that happened last fall where a large number of people could exploit the protocol for funds. Compound managed to recover about 40% so I’m hopeful Nomad gets about the same or better. 🤞

Let’s not confuse poor governance at one protocol as net failure of DAO governance. While token governance is still in its infancy, it has already proven uniquely effective at decentralizing control of protocols.

If there's one thing that's clear from recent events, DAO governance of lending protocols is not a great idea. Most people are simply not qualified/in possession of sufficient information to determine appropriate risk parameters on complex protocols whose risks evolve in time.
