Finally (finally) 😁 a face to the name. He was funny, stupid, gregarious and principled. He hated wrongs and took a career that would enable him to make the world a better place. He was exceptional and bright and fought for years. I love my old photos of him.

We threw a small pre Christmas soirée Sunday. Over half the people weren’t drinking; either tee total or driving. There’s been a huge shift in the number of my friends stopping drinking for good - mostly health reasons, but I’ve thought a few things since… 🧵

**Thread** 9 yrs ago today I lost my greatest friend. He was my everything; the most wonderful & extraordinary man you could ever be lucky enough to know. He took his own life after a lengthy battle with depression, & took a little bit of everyone who knew him when he left too.
