And 'exclusive streaming home' to all previous content. Exclusive suggests they'll take down everything currently on YouTube or the Sesame St website. That's the issue. It's 50 years of public access television made specifically for low income kids being put behind a paywall.

I wish they hadn't shoehorned in the 'moved the body' storyline. It doesn't need added drama. It was a beautifully moving plot point that really allowed them to flex their acting chops and focus on an important issue.

Prada (who own Miumiu) have a pretty poor track record on worker welfare. I wouldn't assume that the price they're charging has any reflection on how much they're paying the people making it.

Saying someone has lost weight as a compliment suggests that there was something uncomplimentary about their body before. Not everyone values weight loss/gain as a positive thing, and for some it's incredibly negative.
Folks, if you don't follow
@PeopleofLeeds
could you, just for today? I'd really love to push it over 20k for its last day. You can unfollow tomorrow, I just want the screenshot!
If you're not following
@PeopleofLeeds
and
@Visit_Wakefield
you might want to this week. We're doing a super exciting crossover event, like The Flash does. But with more northerners.
And I've just booked the final PoL week of the year. I'd held off on buying next year's diary as I wasn't sure it would still be around, and now I've got people asking to book in 2023. What a turnaround.
120 years ago, Leeds residents constructed a huge archway from bread to welcome the future King George V to the city.
Taken in 1894, the photo shows the enormous arch built from a staggering 1,500 loaves of bread along Commercial Street:

His "<pause>...good for you" is a go-to response for boring stories in our house! It was always my favourite part of the show!
@i_Lean
Mrs Heaton, PE (Gym). Told me she didn't care how crap I was, and that she'd never judge how slow, uncoordinated, and hateful of sport I was, so long as I tried. I was very, very crap. Because of her appreciating I made an effort I ended up joining the hockey team*

It takes waaaay more air than tv would have you believe, much much more than one syringe worth (I only learned this recently and it's incredibly reassuring after a lifetime of...well, bad lifetime movies where this is common!)
I've got some gaps to the end of the year for PoL. Why not round off what has been an absolute wheelie bin of a year by complaining to thousands of people about it?
I need 19 more people to break 20k on PoL. It would genuinely make a really really crappy day a bit brighter. Please go and follow
@PeopleofLeeds
, and ask your friends to follow too! I'm so close I don't want to sign off until I hit it 😭
I've had more volunteers in the past week than I've had in *all* of 2022. That
@loudribs
is very effective. Or people really hate the corn exchange and want to bandwagon.
ADMIN: Thanks also to the many people who have applied to take part this week, it's been an overwhelming response! We're still booking people in, so if you want to sneaky into the queue, we'd love to have you! Email peopleofleeds

In Leeds I not only could ask for the usual, but they started making it for me as soon as I walked in, kept my loyalty card behind the counter because I kept losing it, and more than once gave me breakfast on good faith when I forgot my purse. I've never felt so loved.

Hello! I'm the admin of PoL. We are closing doors in January I'm afraid 😣, unless things change significantly by then. It's become untenable to safeguard volunteers from bots, hate speech and inappropriate content due to the eradication of Twitter's safety features. I'm gutted😭
