@BigMeanInternet The amount of energy/carbon required to move a banana from Central America or the Caribbean is minuscule. It just feels like it’s traveling far, but would be better to trade grains from Ohio for bananas in areas where grains don’t grow as well.

Just talked to someone in China. No pandemic- only provinces that see outbreaks (eg along border) are locked down until virus is gone. Only vaccine for people travelling abroad, no need domestically. Couldn't even test their vaccine domestically- too few cases to sample.
