My grandmother has been a raptors fan since day 1, we all have video of her talking about her boy Vince, her boy Derozan, her boy Kyle.....she is in a nursing home and slowly loosing her memory but she got to witness this in her life time....I’m crying
oh, some venues in Toronto who refused to allow hiphop events, or any event that would attract more than 8 black people, asking for help, and bailouts from the same community because they see our crowdfunding power...
not I.

That's why you charge security deposits. Having cameras all throughout every part of the home is against the policy and Cleary creeping. Especially not disclosing of this. What they stealing out the shower?

I worked for an airlines, we had to change our policy 4 years ago to align with government regulations that we must offer vouchers OR cash…most ppl don’t know they can ask for cash in lieu of a voucher….they do offer more in voucher but you can get a significant amount of 💰
I ran a recording studio at the East Scarborough Boys and Girls club over a decade ago. The kids were so happy to learn music, I taught them how to write and engineer themselves. The government cut arts funding and they told us we couldn’t continue the program.
T-Minus and Boi1da gave half the industry their hits for over a decade. 1da’s kits are legend.

It is againt policy to have cameras all throughout every part of their home. They can only have cameras in the common areas such as hall ways, entrance and driveways. Common spaces do not include sleeping areas or bathrooms.
There’s what I like to call the “Lost Era” of the Toronto rap scene.
I’d like to direct a documentary on it.
Because it’s a very distinct and important time frame in music culture that shaped the landscape of the Toronto Sound that folks claim doesn’t exist.
Can I vent?
I’d like to direct a documentary about Torontos dancehall dance crew culture in mid 2000’s. Showdown was legendary. Mad Skylz, RatedX, Dainty, Dirty Gen. Lots of history.
Congratulations to Deborah Cox being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. She is the first Black Woman to be inducted, and only the 2nd Black Musician to be inducted, Oscar Peterson being the first. 👏🏽🇬🇾🇨🇦

You've never traveled on a plane before, drove a vehicle, taken a train, a boat? own crypto? Because if so, you're also complicit.
The government took that from them. So some of them stopped coming to the BGC all together and started hanging out outside…
If we keep taking away and closing down community spaces from these kids, these news stories will keep recycling. They need spaces to create and be safe.
Thank you so much Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors for sending autographed gear for Raptor Granny AND a beautiful video message from the man himself which will air on CityTV tonight at 5pm - 6pm and 11pm — THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT!
I’m nominated for a JUNO on a collaboration album with my older cousin who is the God Father of Canadian Hiphop (yes, in case you didn’t know). That’s so amazing.
Everyone's definition of success, in my opinion should be unique. 4 years ago I took my parents to Dundas Square where they saw their only daughter, their youngest, on the biggest billboard...that to me, is success. ❤️🥂
Over 33 years ago, Maestro performed "Let your backbone slide" for the first time on Electric Circus. Today, he is on the Marilyn Dennis show premiering his cooking show in the SAME studio room that they filmed Electric Circus 33 years ago. FULL CIRCLE MOMENT.

where is your commentary for trust fund babies who only get into schools because daddy golfs with the dean? why was that even a QUESTION? a journalist with morals would have declined to answer such a stupid question of "is it excessive?" Smh.
imagine constantly supporting ppl you actually know, publicly... literally stanning them, and they literally never reciprocate or even acknowledge you....they want the world to be clear, you’re a fan...i see it a lot and it makes me frown
Those kids were so excited to be there, they brought their friends and we were there until 8pm with them.
Black boys and girls creating, being productive, having fun.
City was under water 48 hours ago. Significant damage to properties. Violence is rampant.
Your deputy mayor motioned that a non-Canadian have her own street name for a month.
Priorities are in the sewer in this city, I tell you.
2 black women brought home the 2 rap category Junos (which, for my US follower is a genderless category)... that is ... so big. I still don't have words.
Maestro getting the Governor General Award this weekend. Michie getting her flowers from Big Daddy Kane. Saukrates nominated for an Emmy. Bishop brought the city out for an amazing show.
Good week for HipHop in Toronto.
Country music artist were NOT having it when "Old Town road" dropped and it was marked as "Country". They got it removed from Bilboard.
So let's not play dense with the reggae category controversy.
i want to add, hes out there during this pandemic while his immune system is compromised due to having lupus-nephritis... literally putting his life on the line🙏🏽
AMERICAN FOLLOWERS: the reason that
@937WBLK
(a buffalo, NY station) shout out was so import to us Toronto kids on Drake’s album, is for many many years we didn’t have an urban hip hop station so we had to listen to WBLK to get any hip hop or R&B music...
Did a album with Maestro Fresh Wes, Got a record with Solitaire, Did a record with Saukrates, Dj Mel Boogie is my DJ. Worked with King Reign (🕊️), worked with Michie Mee, Big Kish voices the intro and outro on one of my albums. And those are just the Canadian legends..
stop telling black people what to do
stop telling black people what to feel
stop telling black people what to say
stop telling black people how to grieve
stop telling black people how to react
sexual harassment BY women “fans”, as a performer, is my every show experience. NO it’s not okay to grab my face and try to kiss me on my lips. NO you cant squeeze my butt or grab my breast when we’re taking a picture..this conversation is an important one...it happens every show
@HollyLiveFox5DC
take one second to imagine a young person who listened to your speel now feeling ashamed for applying to more than 5 schools, so they don’t and the 6th school they didn’t apply too is the one they would have got in...THATS the point.
Angela James has been described as the “Wayne Gretzky of women’s hockey.”

The 2nd single from Kardinal Offishall's "Quest for Fire: Firestarter" was the Attic produced posse cut 'Ol Time Killin' ft Jully Black, IRS, Wio-K & Allistair. The catchy song + memorable Director X video would be followed with a remix ft Busta Rhymes! Who remembers this one?
@princessjahadd

the canadian industry overlooks and under values black women and lots of them have the nerve to talk about “solidarity” in these times, kindly fuck off....you’d never sign us, work with us or push us the way you do some of these guys who are sub par at best, FUCK off.
The Dream (artist) is someone we will all look back on in 15, 20 years, and be astonished.
This man wrote phenomenal records. Then he decided he wanted to drop his own hits, which he literally did consistently...
Then, he went back to writing phenomenal records.
Phenomenal.
