1/4 It happened again: Film is Fabulous! recently recovered a third missing episode of The Basil Brush Show. The show was broadcast on the 20th November 1970, it being episode 10 of season 4. All 15 episodes of season 4 were previously missing from the BBC Archive.

2/4 There were no complete episodes, mute inserts, off-cuts, trims etc., from The Avengers, Dad’s Army, Dr Who, Top of the Pops, and such like in the first case study. However, there were missing episodes of television programmes, in addition to those we have already announced.

1/3 LOST SILENT MOVIE Although Film is Fabulous! team have been closely associated with the recovery of missing television episodes from the 1960s, perhaps the most significant find was discovery of a lost silent movie from October 1919 by Selznick Pictures titled: Sealed Hearts

David Moore’s film collection contains several items that require restoration, beyond the work undertaken by our team. To save these prints, and separate 35mm magnetic soundtracks, experts will need to be engaged for special projects. More

The work to preserve film undertaken by our team can be extensive. On occasion, because of the poor condition of the prints, they are cleaned and re-canned. If possible, the original cans are kept, as are the labels. It’s part of the archaeology. Info
