It seems to me that the same people who screamed “let them learn!”, during the entire pandemic are now screaming “don’t let them learn”, about history. Quite the angry bunch. Science and social studies trigger them.

If you teach in Kentucky, apparently we should be grateful to the majority party for “fixing a drafting error” that keeps us from being charged with a crime if we say the wrong thing. Sure feels like freedom and small government. (Sarcasm font 🙄)

Pre-covid, MANY parents would send their children to school dosed up on Tylenol to hide their fever/symptoms. I bet the Venn diagram of parents who did this and now want masks to be optional is a circle.

Attention all those in admin positions in education: It is not the job of teachers to solve the teacher shortage. Full stop. This new line that teachers need to ”grow their own” and “lift up the profession” is garbage. It’s worse than the toxic positivity.
