All I can see is a desperate attempt by the Tories to shift the focus away from the fact that they are taking us to Armageddon!
@wmarybeard
I understand your answer to this type of vile criticism, but I also think you are being far too polite...some people are just horrible publicity-seekers and social media is chance for them to get noticed.
@cliodiaspora
It's not just EU citizens who have been made to feel unwelcome. I am a UK citizen, born in Leeds....moved 6 months ago to Frankfurt. The reason? Brexit.
@ToddDavidForem1
@BrexitBin
Our family moved to Germany in 2018 for exactly the same reasons- wife Austrian, kids half-Austrian/half-British. I miss the UK that was, but would not go back to what it has become now.
Classic claims about Truss and Sunak in Roundhay, Leeds: “They’re both just different brands of crap” and “When it comes to Liz Truss, there’s a space where her brain should be.”
Truss says she will save taxpayers £11bn by cutting civil service time off, ending national pay deals and scrapping jobs aimed at increasing

in the public sector - she’s verging on the fascist, isn’t she?

@ddalton40
No, you are wrong, as the vast majority of MEPs have pointed out. A despicable Chamberlain moment by your representatives. At least Europe’s minorities will understand now who and what you are.
@Femi_Sorry
@brentrobbo
I was at a dinner meeting in Parliament with him, before Brexit, when he kept interrupting the anti-Brexit speaker, to shout about the shackles of the EU. YOU REAP THAT WHICH YOU SOW.
@HeikoMaas
That is not how it is viewed. It is seen as a one-sided visit in support of Israel alone. While your anger at Hamas is totally justifiable, I wish you expressed the same moral outrage at ethic cleansing in Sheikh Jarrah, East Jerusalem.
@DickKingSmith
@PhilipPullman
I wish I could train my dogs to do that to my son, whose relutance to shower beggars belief and forces us to walk ten paces in front of him...

@adamboultonSKY
Not only is this candidacy abhorrent, but from a political perspective it is also mindnumbingly dumb for Corbyn to promote it. What a choice: Corbyn or Johnson. So glad I moved to Germany last year...
@andrewhesselden
Totally agree. In 12 days, I turn 50! Luckily I’m married to an Austrian, have dual-nationality children and live in Germany. Nevertheless, FOM has been the greatest gift in terms of booting mutual, cultural respect: reinstate it ASAP!
@PimlicoPlumbers
@talkRADIO
I am totally shocked: Johnson is considering proroguing Parliament to ensure a no-deal Brexit and you are backing him??? The man is a serial liar and a racist and you are backing him??? He is incompetent in government and you are backing him???
@Mandoline_Blue
@OooooAjay
And I’m really fed up of people saying they come here for benefits. The system is so tight-fisted, they’d be shocked and disappointed - see this chart!
@leeds_2023
The legislation states clearly that only “Member States” can apply, so stop whingeing and blaming the EU. It’s our own fault. Let’s start a national competition instead.
@cliodiaspora
My wife is Austrian and we have three wonderful kids who carry both UK and Austrian passports. Brexit hounded us out of Britain and we now live in Germany - BUT I would at some point love to return, provided my wife - a former NHS worker - remains valued in the UK

@RCorbettMEP
It’s not just about money, it’s also about hope for a better future and pride in the state. It’s about equality and justice. It’s about respect and acceptance. It’s about health and education.None of these seem to matter anymore and that is why I moved to Germany two weeks ago.
@radi_georgi
Thing is, so are other Tories, including: Liz Truss; Liam Fox; Priti Patel; Dominic Raab; Robert Jenrick; Matt Hancock; Alok Sharma; Gavin Williamson; Thérèse Coffey; Grant Shapps; Steve Barclay; Suella Braverman; and the idiot-in-Chief Johnson. The list is by no means exhaustive
@ThatTimWalker
@BBCr4today
It wasn't just heckling...it was not permitting an alternate perspective. It was almost as if Humphrys was the guest...what an arse.
@Chrisballingall
Rest assured, we Brits on the continent will make our voices heard!!!! Today’s events have me on the verge of tears of anger and frustration.
@PimlicoPlumbers
I think you have to define why he is the best one for the job: as far as I can see, he is an incompetent buffon, a charlatan and a coward. Is is because ther est of them are all crap too????
@haaniyah_
@RosaSelvagem93
It’s a fu**ing disgrace. And the western countries go on about China and Iran without looking at the crimes in their own back yards.
@mrjamesob
What gets me is the resilience of Nosferatu...how can she still continue???? A total lack of shame and, apparently, no sword on which to fall...
@80_mcswan
I can’t type one word. My blood would have to curdle, the skin peel itself from my body, my mouth devour my tongue and my eyes implode before I would even consider it….so “no”…
@JuliaHB1
@sundersays
Do you even understand what you write??? You have done exactly that. All you want to do is stoke race hatred. Just nasty - own it.
@OwenSmith_MP
The Brexit debate has always been a choice of losing either Scotland or Northern Ireland. Let's just remain and keep the country together.
@DeborahMeaden
I, as a UK national residing in Germany, could fly to London and then onto DC, bringing with a me a hefty amount of nasal and oral mucus...ludicrous!
@MarinaHyde
I really miss the Auskunft, but when I read this type of stuff, it makes me so happy to have moved to Germany after the crappy Brexit that is rotting the country🙄
Beggars belief
@Brexit
vote was so close, but sanity prevails as UK votes to stay in European Medicines Agency
@EMA_News

. Yippee, fewer people will now die!
@MarinaPurkiss
As a young man, I used to hold up the UK high as a beacon of ethical responsibility. As an older, wiser man, I see the fish rotting from the head down.
@JohnJCrace
How about scrapping A&E altogether so we don't have to report on it? Or scrapping the NHS? Oh...wait a minute....that already seems to be government policy...
