I have a confession to make I didn't know orange bars existed in D2 til I joined the company. I thought everything was yellow or red like in D1. I still have trouble differentiating the colors and just use the unit's icon to determine its rank.

Honestly I'm constantly impressed by the abilities team. First they shipped Stasis, which makes dynamic geometry in the world, now they're shipping Strand, which lets you grapple onto moving objects. All in a live service game that's been running for years. Madlads.

Excited for y'all to see all of the new shields! The elements are a lot more accessible and readable. Art also used to have to make unique shield meshes for new units, but this new tech lets us plot in some numbers and scales everything automatically!

That one 3D guy was really cool until he decided to go on a rampage showing every step of him making an animation of his hunter slitting Hawthorne’s throat (who isn’t a guardian btw) and letting her bleed out & fall off the tower in multiple different angles and detail shots 🙂

Menagerie is instantly the best piece of content Destiny has ever had. It's incredible. It reminds me of hard mode dungeons in FFXIV. Mechanic-heavy enough to be enjoyable but they're easy enough to read that you can learn on the fly.

the hard part of AI in video games is that you cannot make them too smart. ex: in mew if an enemy is aware of the fact that they take damage if they attack something with thorns... they'll just attack something else instead. which kind of makes thorns nearly useless.
