Not to be THAT insufferable journalist on twitter, but I feel like it would be funnier and more realistic if instead of volunteer reporters there were 3-6 full-time reporters who make $30-40k and also work at restaurants, big-box stores and as delivery drivers to pay rent

My first official contribution to the New York Times! I ran around Times Square during the lunch rush to try and wrangle a couple of app-based delivery workers to interview.

This past year I’ve reported from large protests, mass vaccination sites and countless crowded public spaces. I spent most of my weekends working in a busy restaurant. Today I got my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and I’m so excited to feel safe at my jobs again.

For my first story in @nytimes and @NYTMetro , I wrote about something truly awful that happened around the corner from my old apartment. Three years after Steven Kraft disappeared in Beacon, his ex-wife and her husband are accused of killing him.

Clinton has a population of less than 3,000 people, and more than 80% of the population is white. It is truly awe-inspiring to witness so many people-anywhere from 300-1000- come out to support this cause.

As a journalist, it's really frustrating to see so many people posting online about how the media isn't covering certain issues. Local reporters cover so many of the issues people argue don't get coverage.
