The Height of the Storm! The G5 Corona as the camera seen it! This was it. The most energetic Auroras in more than 20 years. Last time I've seen this was over Milwaukee in 2003 Surprising occurs at the mid lat because the Oval pushed so far Sduring an extreme magnetic storm.

The Stealth Substorm Aurora! I just observed the brightest substorm of my life this past night. in S North Dakota, while short lived, it illuminated the ground & even cast shadows! Now Can we make it 3 nights in a row the the predicted CME? #aurora (Music optional lol)

An #Aurora Substorm occurred as thought in Southern Wisconsin. It was a race between the Aurora, Clouds, and Increasingly Unfavorable Solar Wind numbers. It was short, simple, and sweet. About a 3/10 to the eye and extremely photogenic for the middle latitudes #swiwx

Visible #Aurora Arc on camera southern Minnesota. G1 reached. But the magnetic field has shifted in a N direction. We are waiting for a S shift again to help increase storm levels and southern latitude. High lat Sub storm on this band is likely. G3 warning in effect. #mnwx

Despite the weak, glancing blow of the CME, there was enough energy in its wake that pushed a relatively brief, but highly visible ๐ŸŒŒ #Aurora substorm into mid-lat, on the horizon- Even as far south as Hartford in S Wisconsin and further! ๐Ÿ˜ Of course the car headlight too! ๐Ÿ™„
