apparently because the result of one merely advisory referendum corrupted by foreign money, illegal campaigning and stolen voter data trumps 400 years of representative parliamentary democracy.

Completely disingenuous Emma. The 11th night bonfires could be free from the majority of the criticism if the organisers grew up, ceased with the petty sectarian imagery and showed a tiny bit of consideration. It’s not that hard.

That last paragraph’s a killer:
“However, the Kantar report he was quoting from was later published, and showed that, on average, consumers here pay 8% less for groceries than those in Britain.”

Putin has been successful in dividing and weakening both the EU and US. He knows his next moves will be met with more half-hearted sanctions while he rebuilds Russia’s empire.
@KlasfeldReports
The guy wore monogrammed slippers to the trial on the day he was giving evidence. That tells you everything you need to know about him.
@gavinesler
Oh yes and caused the international financial crisis...how Cameron et al have been allowed to get away with this revisionist narrative for so long is a testament to the political miseducation in the U.K.

@georgesoros
George Soros has worked tirelessly to promote the kind of open society anathema to fascism. Hence the hatred from Putin and the far right.

Onward march to irrelevance. Very very sad how working class protestants have been kept in the dark and fed shit by those pretending to be their leaders. The logical endpoint of these games is total irrelevance and a minority position in a united ireland.
@Kscott_94
@BelTel
The more working class Protestants “react” the more middle class unionists (of whom there are already few left motivated enough to vote) disengage. The void filled by nationalists who will become the voice of legitimacy, especially re policing. Brexit was a major strategic error.

Isn’t it amazing the disregard for our desire to live in peace? Willing to risk it all because most of them won’t have to live amongst the fallout and completely oblivious to how bad the fallout would be. 50%+1 or not, the only path is through baby steps.
@Choyaa13
The UUP should be capitalising on Robin Swann’s public profile and perceived competence, not necessarily as leader but Aiken is uninspiring and needs to step back in favour of Swann or Doug Beattie.
@SJAMcBride
Devolution under joint authority mediated by the EU is the only equitable and mature solution for Northern Ireland and will always be. Everything else requires subjugation of one side. Ireland should match the UK block grant so investment finally compensates us for the past.

This is corruption in public office, not only should he be expelled from the Commons but this kind of self-enrichment should be a statutory offence.

Arlene Foster’s experiences in the troubles are the reason she is an ineffective leader. It is impossible for her to approach the current and future challenges to Unionism with the necessary objectivity.
@Telegraph
Given that the virus started in China, then hit Iran, including a number of high-ranking officials - and that it affects black people worst of all - logic would dictate that it’s a lot more likely Trump himself started it .
