2. SHOWCASING YOUR WORK No one will hire you if no one sees your work. I want you to post your work (practice edits, trials etc.) at least 2-3x a week. Note: you will think your work is sh*t. It may be mediocre, but it DOES get you hired regardless. Like it or not, post it.

5. OVERDELIVERING I want you to charge $150, and deliver work that's worth $1500. This will make the client adore you and give you work on repeat. That doesn't mean you take ages on one video, though! Not meeting deadlines is THE fastest way to lose a client.

3. OPTIMIZING YOUR PORTFOLIO Here's what you put in your portfolio to land clients: • Client's channel • Sub count • Full video or trial you edited for them Continuously improve the videos in your portfolio.. and that will land you bigger and better clients.

1. POSITIONING YOURSELF Have a link to your portfolio in your bio. Make sure your bio describes SPECIFICALLY how you'll help the client. "Video Editor" -> "I edit videos that will skyrocket your audience's retention rate". This alone will put you ahead of 80% of editors on X.

4. NO COLD OUTREACH!?! There will be no advice for cold outreach here. Reason being, I find it quite inefficient and none of my clients actually came from cold outreach. Why would I DM 100 creators when I can post 1 edit which can be seen by 1000 of them?
