Great
@ChelseaFC
performance. No tippy tappy show pony dressage low block nonsense. Two teams going at each other toe to toe, end to end football. Best game of the season.
#CHEMCI
Good start to Friday catching up with former Blue who set early trend in Chelsea left backs with fine head of hair. Here he is celebrating his goal v Derby at start of 1983/84 season.
First time we have played Crystal Palace in FA Cup since 1976 and Malcolm Allison and his fedora hat and Peter Bloody Taylor. Second biggest crowd I have ever been in at Stamford Bridge. 54,407.
Matthis De Light a couple of years playing against Tammy Abraham in UEFA Youth League. Now captaining Ajax to Champions League semi final while most of his Chelsea opponents that day on loan in championship and beyond.
Ray Wilkins was last player interview done for "Eddie Mac Eddie Mac" That afternoon in his company with Jock and Graham at
@D_of_Edinburgh
will live long in the memory. Just an amazing man. Still cannot bring myself to delete his number from my phone. RIP Ray.
Normally European aways means Chelsea fans being kept behind for anything up to an hour. The good police folk of Salzburg let us out straight away and laid on buses back to town. Already in the pub. Great place this Salzburg.
Good day all around yesterday at Brentford v Chelsea. Good pubs. Good company (pre and post match). Good stadium. Good view. Good home fans. Good saves by Mendy. Good(ness) knows how we held out in last 20 minutes and a good result for Chelsea.
7 May is so enshrined in
@ChelseaFC
history. On this day in 1983 a goal by Clive Walker saved Chelsea from relegation to Division Three. We have "come a long" way since then....Boys in Blue in Division Two
Happy 92nd birthday today to Chelsea season ticket holder Harry Soames who is only person I know who has seen all of our 6 title wins. Happy birthday H.
“The club becomes you. Once you’ve played for it, you’re always welcomed back for the rest of your life.
You become Chelsea and it becomes you.”
Frank Lampard 👊💙
Welcome home, Super Frank!
Let the good times roll!
On this day in 1986 FA Cup 3rd round plenty of snow and the odd snowball fight as David Speedie goal gets
@ChelseaFC
through to 4th round with winner at Shrewsbury.
Our other
@ChelseaFC
captain. Big thanks to John Terry
@JohnTerry26
for his support for Chelsea fans sleeping out tomorrow night at Stamford Bridge to raise money for

Chelsea v Real Madrid ECWC 50 years ago this year. Shame no fans in Madrid tonight but some of the fans who were there in Athens 50 years ago in picture below I am sure will be at home cheering Blues on tonight for similar result.
Ray Wilkins was the very last player interview done for "Eddie Mac Eddie Mac" That afternoon spent in his company with Jock and Graham at
@D_of_Edinburgh
will live long in the memory. Just an amazing man. RIP Ray.
Happy 83rd birthday today to the boss. Delighted 6 years ago he was able to come home. One of the best Chelsea managers of all time and such a lovely man.
Great idea for a friendly at the Maracana as part of
@tsilva3
transfer but just a reminder to
@ChelseaFC
that they still owe East Stirling a friendly for the transfer that took Eddie McCreadie to Stamford Bridge in 1962.
#CFCheritage
On this day in 1979 we signed the late Petar Borota from Partizan Belgrade. A cult hero at The Bridge. After first training session skipper Ray Wilkins said : "He’s a tough boy. When somebody volleyed a shot into his face from just five yards the ball burst."
On this day in 1979 the final ever episode of Fall and Rise of Reggie Perrin. Great writing. Great characters. I did not get where I am today without knowing a great comedy series when I see one.
On this day in 1975 George Best, Ossie and
@AlanHudson_10
before Peter Osgood's Testimonial. Chelsea Past v Chelsea Present. Best got two goals that night for Chelsea Past XI.
If you’re going to Stamford Bridge this evening make sure you pick up a copy of tonight's programme as I am in the fan featured pages.
Well done to programme team for cramming my 50+ years supporting
@ChelseaFC
into one page after longest interview they've done this season 😂😂
@RickGlanvill
@gate17marco
Tomorrow there should be No Sarri in/Sarri out, no twitter rows, no 100% Chelsea v CFCFanTV arguments, no match day fans v those who get up at 4am. All we should care about tomorrow night is Chelsea FC and those 11 players on the pitch COYB
Once was told years ago needed rose tinted spectacles for saying
@PatNevin
best player I had seen at Chelsea. Now at an age wearing spectacles all the time so happy birthday today to the best player I have seen at Chelsea
Home from Peter Bonetti memorial. Well done Chelsea for such a splendid send off for a Chelsea legend. Some great photos and videos on my time line tonight
So you can still get tickets in West View Row 2 for Palace on Saturday when there are displaced Chelsea fans. Why are these not being held for MHL impacted fans whose seats are not ready
@ChelseaFC
?
40 years ago tonight. New York Cosmos visit to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea and nearly 40k fans there to see Johnann Cruyff and Franz Beckenbaur turn out.
On this day in 1984 the home debut of home debuts from
@therealMickeyT
two goals against Sheffield Wednesday that put Chelsea back on top of the table. 35k crowd and mad celebrations with Gate 13. Great day. Brilliant signing by the great John Neal.
27 August 1983. 4 debutants, 4 minute Spackman debut goal, 5 goals (should have been 6 if Colin Lee header had counted) and start of one of the best seasons of our lives. Chelsea 5 Derby 0. Come along and sing this song....
Happy 90th birthday to Chelsea legend Harry Soames who is only person I know who has seen all of our 6 title wins. My CFCUK article this month is all about Harry. Happy birthday H.
Today is anniversary of our Cup Winners Cup win in Athens in 1971. Scrolling on line and came across this photo of a group of Chelsea fans who were out there for the final. Great historical photo. Wonder how many still going today? Still alive today? Kids/grand kids now going ?
5 years ago Ray Wilkins passed away. Lucky enough to interview Ray at
@D_of_Edinburgh
for "Eddie Mac Eddie Mac" book. Will never forget that lunch that afternoon with Jock, Graham & Ray christening
@SmiffyEastStand
the Chelsea statistician. They don't make them like Ray anymore.
Slaidburn Street Chelsea 1970 FA Cup Final day. Seen photo many times but had no idea who was in the photo. Got sent it yesterday by Geno Blue and now know it is Sue and Pauline Davenport. Pauline sadly now longer with us but Sue is still going to Chelsea today. Great photo.
Was lucky to get on pitch and took this photo at Exeter with
@Neilchelsea
@onlyapound
and meet Luca Vialli when he joined us in summer of 1996. Absolute gentleman, then now and always. RIP Luca.
On this day in 1994 The Blue Flag made its home debut in FA Cup quarter final v Wolves. All the credit goes to the late Mark Pulver at
@CFC_Independent
for getting it made by AA Flags in Consett and delivered to Stamford Bridge.
On this day in 1984 was at Goodison Park to see Chelsea beat future Champions Everton 4-3 with Gordon Davies hat trick. Short lived Chelsea career but someone who scored a hat trick for and against us. I am sure few folk on here were there that day.
27 August 1983 first game of the season with four new signings Niedzwicki, McLaughlin, Spackman and Dixon making their debuts. Perfect start with 5-0 win after our best ever transfer window.......until .....now..
40 years ago today Chelsea lost at home to Manchester United and dropped to bottom of league. As bad as yesterday (and it was bad) we have seen worse days. 1978 twitter would have self combusted by now.
On this day in 1986 FA Cup 3rd round plenty of snow and the odd snowball as David Speedie goal gets
@ChelseaFC
through to 4th round with winner at Shrewsbury.
So today is the Big Stamford Bridge Sleep Out. We have raised 18k so far for
@stoll_veterans
and looking to raise more today. Thanks to
@ChelseaFC
and a number of ex CFC players for their support. If you would like to donate please click on link:
On this evening in 1985 at Fulham, the greatest
@ChelseaFC
goalkeeping performance I have ever seen. We won 1-0 thanks to Kerry Dixon goal but MOTM that night was Eddie Niedzwicki. If you were lucky to be there it was something special.
Happy Grimsby Anniversary day. On this day in 1984
@ChelseaFC
won the Second Division title at Grimsby. Signed photo of that side one of my favourite bits of Chelsea memorabilia. A lot of folk on here will have great memories of that day. Who was there that day ?
#CFCheritage
If anyone wants to lay a wreath for Luca at Stamford Bridge Chelsea have now set aside space at Britannia Entrance & from next Tuesday have arranged for a Book of Condolence for tributes to Luca to open in the Chelsea Museum and also on line same day.
On this day in 1984
@therealMickeyT
home debut for
@ChelseaFC
v Sheffield Wednesday. Someone posted here recently what was best ever Chelsea home debut. This is right up there- 2 goals, big win and the Gate 13 celebration that then featured on cover of next home programme.
Micky Droy had a number of business interests but as long as I can remember he has had Westminster Electricals in Kilburn Lane. Used to work on Harrow Road in 1990s and often used to see him outside shop on way home from work. Now spends half year in Florida and half here in Uk.
On this day in 1978 Peter Osgood is made captain for the day as he returns to Chelsea and makes his second Chelsea home debut in 0-0 draw with Bristol City.
On this day 40 years ago John Neal's reign (with Ian McNeil as his No 2 ) as Chelsea manager began with a home win over Bolton Wanderers. What a top manager he was for Chelsea and what memories he gave us two seasons later.

On this day 40 years ago was at Stamford Bridge to see Chelsea beat Cambridge 2-1 with goals from Johnny B and Clive Walker. Remember this year is the 40th anniversary of Chelsea promotion season.
#CFCHeritage
Happy birthday Micky Fillery found these photos recently from interview i did with him for
@ChelseaFC
magazine in late 90s. He was working then as a painter and decorater and met him on a job in West Hampstead. Lovely guy. Has retired now down to Cornwall.
#cfcheritage
31 March is a sad day in the Chelsea calendar. With news of Ray Wilkins in hospital it also today three anniversaries of former blues who passed away on this day. Lets remember Ian Britton, David Rocastle and John Phillips.
On this day in 1984 one of the best ever
@ChelseaFC
home debuts by
@therealMickeyT
against Sheffield Wednesday. This is right up there- 2 goals, big win and the Gate 13 celebration that then featured on cover of next home programme.

It was 50 years ago.
Dave Sexton taught these guys to play.
They were going in and out of style,
But this is guaranteed to raise a smile,
Happy 50th anniversary
@ChelseaFC
. The reason many of us are here. For once reliving history not making history.
6 years ago Ray Wilkins passed away. Lucky enough to interview Ray at
@D_of_Edinburgh
for "Eddie Mac Eddie Mac" book. Will never forget that lunch that afternoon with Jock, Graham & Ray christening
@SmiffyEastStand
the Chelsea statistician. They

Its Eddie McCreadie's 80th birthday today please post your favourite Eddie Mcphoto(s) and wish him happy birthday. Please copy the text in your status, post a picture and look at some great Eddie memories/pictures.
Postman has been today. 41 years ago got my first ever season ticket and saw Chelsea relegated that season. Whatever happens next season we will be fine. Don't worry about a thing...
