In a few countries that I have monitored, lockdowns have led to a huge reduction in crime rates especially robberies. However, lockdown in Nigeria has led to a spike of police brutality and extortion, and daylight robberies agonizingly orchestrated by young adults.

There are some businesses in China (from mom & pop to big stores) where staff never get access to customers' money. All orders are initiated & completed digitally over an app. For example, a coffee shop. Does such a business model exist & can it thrive in current-day Nigeria?

Yesterday, the Egyptian government evacuated 350 citizens from Wuhan, China. They touched down today. All 350 lodged in a hotel for a 14-day quarantine. Whereas, Nigerian lawmakers laugh over the fate of fewer than 70 Nigerians in Wuhan.
