Many things are bleak right now. The future of high-risk disabled and immunocompromised people, myself included, is one of those things. And, as disabled people have said many times, our future IS your future, even if you cannot yet understand that.

I had extremely low expectations for the Biden administration re: COVID and somehow they’ve managed to avoid meeting any of them. I had hope for collective care, but right now that hope really is a discipline, as Mariame Kaba writes.
