@Otto_English Otto, let’s be honest. Reform ate the Tory vote in this campaign. One can’t ignore 4mil+ votes, the landscape of the right is now very different. I am not wholly convinced with what Labour are actually offering. If we look the Labour vote share, the dial hasn’t shifted much.

@alon_mizrahi While the timing of Leo's departure is questionable, you fail to mention that in the week prior to visiting Biden, Leo lost two national referendums. It could well be that this was planned as Leader's who often lose referendum (see Cameron & Brexit) resign in the wake of them.

@alon_mizrahi Absolutely. My own thinking is, he lost the refs and agreed to step aside. But as the trip to Washington was long planned, it was his moment to tell Biden and the world’s press why Ireland has stood with the Palestinian cause. It was a very powerful moment.
