•Mic. muted? Tell us!
•Wrong game title? Tell us!
•On wrong overlay? Tell us!
•We have something in our teeth? Tell us!
•Game sound low? Tell us!
•Framing or lagging? Tell us!
Etc.
CONTENT CREATORS WANT TO KNOW THESE THINGS, WE WILL BE GRATEFUL ❤
As a streamer you play what YOU want to play!
If someone says your trash at the game...fuck em.
If some says it kills them to watch cause your so bad...fuck em.
Pardon my French but as long as your having fun and with the community that’s behind you, that’s what matters!
👏Look,
@Twitch
needs to step up👏. 👏Instead of taking 50%, take 20%👏. 👏Paying us every two weeks instead of once a month👏. 👏Alot us do this for a living and some advances would be nice to make it less stressful👏.
#clappingdreahands
$100 worth of subs, Twitch takes $50.
$500 worth of subs, Twitch takes $250.
$1k worth of subs, Twitch takes $500.
$2k worth of subs, Twitch takes $1k.
Etc.
THIS PLATFORM TAKES A LOT AWAY FROM MOST OF US. Will it change? Who knows...it's sad.
@twitch
LISTEN!
If you raid someone and they say:
• “That’s not a lot.”
• “You raided me with just ...”
• No response to raid.
etc.
They don’t deserve YOUR time.
Give it to someone who appreciates it, no matter the number♥️
When a streamer is playing solo, it doesn't mean they don't want to play with you. Sometimes, streamers just want to enjoy the game themselves.
UNLESS they ask people to play, don't ask.
It can become annoying and irritating. Just enjoy being there <3
If you’re a streamer that
•Has a team to run
•You’re a parent
•Have a full-time job
•Have big responsibilities whatever that may be
Etc.
& have time to stream, you’re pretty awesome💗 Keep that grind going.
👏ATTENTION!👏
👏PLEASE, 👏PLEASE let a streamer know if they are having technical issues. Like not hearing music, not hearing the content creator, stream freezing, sounding like a robot, etc.
WE WANT TO KNOW THESE THINGS!
Thank you ♡ :)
Streamers need breaks!
Reasons why we may not feel like streaming:
•IRL (life happens)
•Dedicating time to your family
•Exhaustion (burned out)
•You just want a day to play games by yourself
•Need self care (workout, spa, vacations, etc.)
etc.
Take breaks!♥️
You are not embarrassing a content creator when you tell them that:
•The audio is off
•The camera is off
•The scene is wrong
•They forgot to do a giveaway
•They need to change the gaming title
Etc.
YOU MAKE IT EASIER FOR US AS ENTERTAINERS!
❤
Honest truth about Twitch:
- They don't offer you benefits [medical, dental, etc.]
- They take half of your sub. rev. and then you pay taxes
- They care on how much money you make
- They don't offer a guaranteed monthly income
- You have to kiss a little ass to get noticed
etc.
Never say sorry for:
- Being late to a raid
- For not being there enough
- For not being able to sub or donate
- For being AFK for a while
- For hosting with "little" viewers
Etc.
Life comes up and we appreciate you being there when you can. DON'T BE SORRY💗
First Streaming Tip of 2019:
If you go to someones channel and you say what they are playing is "boring."
Why are you in their channel?
There are plenty of games to go check out instead of ruining someones time.
Let the streamer run the content they want in their channel.
👏STOP 👏COMPLAINING 👏ABOUT 👏CONTENT 👏CREATORS 👏HAVING 👏ADS!
If you don't like it suck it up, use Twitch Prime or just support. This is another way creators are making an income.
Things not to do to streamers:
- Asking for f4f, L4L, S4S, etc.
- Asking for favors if you haven't been supporting them.
- Being disrespectful.
- Self promoting yourself in their chat.
- Backseating on game play, unless asked for help
Etc.
What are some other things?
Do👏🏼not 👏🏼blame 👏🏼others 👏🏼for 👏🏼having 👏🏼no 👏🏼viewers!
It’s YOUR responsibility to NETWORK.
Make the effort to build your community.
Analyze your stream, on what you can improve.
Don’t expect the support back, it’ll happen if you’ve been doing it.
What Twitch doesn't tell you!
When you raid it takes you to the creators page.
The URL changes It'll say,
"?referred=raid"
Delete that, it's only supposed to show the streamers name.
Then, refresh.
It'll count as an organic view!
Especially, for those going for partner!
Dear Content Creator,
Even if you're figuring yourself out on what content to give to us, I'll support your journey all the way. The game or content you choose will not change me being there for you.
Sincerely,
Your Support♥️
People in streams that say:
•I can't afford a sub...[Stop!]
•I can't gift subs...[Stop!]
•I can't donate...[Stop!]
•I can't give bits...[Stop!]
•Sorry I didn't raid you with more people...[Stop!]
👏STOP👏!! 👏WE👏 👏UNDERSTAND👏! ♡
AFFILIATE STREAMERS
Thinking of something different to do!
I want to start interviewing affiliates that have been growing their network and community.
I would love to interview partners, but I feel that affiliates need some of that spot light!
Why should I pick you?
#repost
As a streamer, dream big and hustle!
You want to be a partner?
Work for it!
You want to be sponsored?
Work for it!
You want to become a full-time streamer?
Work for it!
Anything is possible, all you have to do is...Work for it! It’ll take trial and error 💗
I think people forget that there are FREE ways to support a content creator. I sometimes see "I can't support you through subbing, donating, etc."
You can by:
Hosting
Retweeting
Spreading the word to others
Putting your favs on an auto host list
etc.
FREE FREE FREE
I unfollowed a lot of people recently because something was said and was not confronted to me. If there's ever something wrong between you and someone, just message them. Don't completely disappear when you have been supporting.
That shows your true character.
If you go to a stream, you are there for the streamer and to connect with their communtiy.
If the streamer wants to come by or not it's their choice.
I don't want a streamer to have to come by my stream just because I went to theirs. Just support because YOU want to. 💗
Avoid saying this in chat:
"Hey, I'm going live soon, so I'll talk to you later!"
"I'm currently watching (streamers name)."
Just think, would like this to happen to you?
For new streamers it's good to educate etiquette.
If you're been around...don't do it.
Remember when streamers are offline that they are:
Still grinding.
Overthinking what they should or shouldn't do.
Brainstorming new content.
Dealing with irl things.
Supporting their friends stream.
Work social media.
Etc.
What else?
Those that work hard, don't stop!!
Tip of the day:
If you have someone that has been coming to your streams for a while and starts disrespecting you or your chat, it’s okay to ban them (E.g. telling you how to run your streams, disrespecting someone in chat, etc.). No matter, the RESPECT should always be there.
When a streamer is finishing their stream, if you are still there, raid with them.
I'm pretty sure it'll mean alot plus it makes the raid that much more fun!
You don't have to stay long or follow.
That raid alone can make a streamers day or night.
Just because someone is a streamer, its hard to keep up with everyone.
Things that may keep us from supporting:
- At work (sometimes have multiple jobs)
- At school
- Have kids to take of
- Have IRL things going on
-Working on themselves (goals, streams, health, etc.)
etc.
Friendships on twitch:
•Fade away
•Stop
•Get complicated
•Dont work out
•End up in a fight
•Someone ends up being jealous
•Have something against you
•Stop supporting you
Etc.
The best thing to do is move on or work it out.
Honestly, I know this is probably a horrible thing to say, but there are some people in the streaming community that I wish I never met. Because I realized how fake and needy they were. Rant over.
Every streamer runs their own stream differently.
Every streamer has their own reason for streaming.
Every streamer has their own path.
Every streamer has their ups and downs.
Every streamer has their own community that they built.
Etc.
No streamer is the same.
💜
When your a streamer and someone comes in chat and says things like:
“You’re not good.”
“Your ugly.”
“Show more you’ll get more views.”
etc.
Just ban them and if they continue keep your cool. They want a rise out of you and make you mad. Show that it doesn’t bother you.
Seriously, mods are the real MVPs when it comes to streaming.
They keep the chat safe
They are honest with you
They ban the assholes
They work as a team
They let you know when something is wrong
They troll you on occasion
They support the crap out of you
THANK YOU!
👏DONATING 👏TO 👏A 👏CONTENT CREATOR 👏DOESN’T 👏GIVE 👏YOU THE 👏RIGHT 👏TO 👏RUN 👏STREAM, we appreciate the support and something in return shouldn’t be expected.
Every streamer has their own style of streaming.
Every streamer has their own personality.
Every streamer has their own dream they want to live.
Every streamer has a reason for streaming.
etc.
That’s what makes every streamer UNIQUE.
When you get raided or hosted, NO MATTER THE SIZE, always appreciate it!
Out of everyone they choose YOU when they didn’t have to!
If someone doesn’t appreciate it, don’t host or raid them again. UNLESS, they apologize for being a butt.
The thing about the streaming world is that:
Some people will change during your journey.
Some people may not like you.
Some people may be using you.
Some people may do things for your stream because of attention.
It's okay, it happens.
Just move on and do YOU!
Want more viewers?
NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK NETWORK
Work hard and do it because you love what you do, not because you have to.
If you are a streamer that is going around asking follow for follow, support for support or lurk for lurk...it won’t benefit you in the long run. Never expect something back from the community.
Form those CONNECTIONS and people will be there for you no matter what!
Tip of the day:
If you go to someone’s chat for the first time and the first thing you do is advertise yourself or someone’s, it’ll come off as RUDE AF.
First impressions are important, think about how that would make you feel if it happened to you.
Etiquette.
Free ways to support one another:
• Retweeting
• Mentioning streamers in a tweet
• Host
• If you decide to raid them
• Be on their chat and also interacting
• Lurking after you talk a little, make sure to refresh
etc.
Those things go a long way♥️
Dear Content Creator,
Sometimes I lurk. But just know I'm in and out of the stream, due to other things I do during the day and/or night. I haven't forgot about you!
I know you're killing it and I will be there as much as I can!
Sincerely,
Lurking Community Member ❤️
When you go visit a stream you are there for THEM.
If you start talking about your stream when it’s out of context on what’s really going on, it’s rude.
It’s stealing the spot light from the streamer. Put yourself in their shoes.
Private messaging is more respectful.
Dear streamer,
Sometimes I'm hesitant to talk in chat and that's why I lurk a lot. Just know I have trouble socializing but when I'm ready I will. You're doing great!
Sincerely,
Lurker ♡
It's okay to unmod people in your channel if you have too many or they aren't active at all.
Instead, you can give VIP or explain to them that they haven't been around and it's not personal.
It's👏 your👏 channel!👏
When it comes to streaming expect:
- People to unfollow you
- To lose friendships along the way
- That you can't please eveyone
- That you can't grow over night
Etc.
It's a challenge but as long as you don't give up, that's the most important thing.
