I am really tired of people actively campaigning against women's rights telling me I'm just a bigot or "uneducated." I identified as trans for over 15 years and detransitioned. I considered all sides of the argument and ultimately realized how harmful gender ideology truly is.

Sex is immutable & determined before birth. It's defined by biology, not psychology, sociology, or self identity. Sex stereotypes do not factor into whether someone is a man or a woman. I am not a woman because I identify as one, but because that is the nature of the body I have.

I use pronouns based on biological sex. In real life, I avoid using them at all if I know this will upset someone. Lying to play along with someone's fantasy encourages gender dysphoria and promotes the idea that clothing or body modification is what makes you a man or a woman.

"Transition" treatments are far more extreme than typical plastic surgeries. Other cosmetic surgeries have risks but are not designed to destroy the function of or remove healthy organs. They are not guaranteed to result in long-term health problems like cross-sex hormones do.

First of all, there have never been clinical trials or controlled studies on the efficacy or safety of "gender-affirming" procedures. When doctors say it is relatively safe, they are lying. They can't know this, because they are basing it on insufficient, low-quality data. (2/?)

If you are thinking about starting testosterone to transition, realize that within a couple of months, your voice will permanently change. Not only will it be deeper, but it could cause you a great deal of pain due to anatomical problems caused by taking T as an adult female.

The people who try to pressure detransitioners into posting highly personal content are just as bad as those trying to silence us. Many of us are traumatized, sensitive, and not prepared for the backlash. There are times I wish I never shared at all.

There are a lot of parallels betw the gender identity movement & the fat positive movement. People shouldn't be shamed or discriminated against for being fat, but obesity is unhealthy & shouldn't be celebrated. "Transition" is also extremely unhealthy & shouldn't be celebrated.

I actually disagree with the argument that being trans is all about getting into single-sex spaces of the opposite sex. Maybe it is for some. I just wanted to be seen as a man in society, mostly due to internalized misogyny. I avoided using public bathrooms while I was trans.
