My new book SATURATED FACTS has officially launched!! 🥳🔥📕💙💙

Have you heard that “1 glass of red wine is good for you.” 🍷
Yeah.. Sorry to tell you, that’s bullshit. There is NO ‘safe’ or beneficial amount of alcohol. ❌
MSG is not bad for you. ❌ That narrative was actually anti-Asian bigotry perpetuated by western doctors and media outlets - for economic gain.
The data is clear. For the vast majority of people MSG is perfectly safe at dosages found within food products 👍🏼
The saddest thing re: Liver King scandal - is that he justifies his steroid use in order to improve boy’s mental health…
But at the same time sets an unattainable standard telling them they can achieve his physique via the 9 ‘tenets’ - which further worsens body dysmorphia. 🤦🏽♂️
“This food is KILLING YOU!” 💀
It won’t take you long on social media to find people saying this about EVERY single food you eat. 🍏🥩🥤🍔🫒🍌
Well done! You’re left with air 💨 Air for dinner 💀 I hate social media.
“If you can’t pronounce an ingredient - DON’T EAT IT!!”… 😤❌🤚🏼
Is some of the dumbest advice I’ve ever heard. 54% of Americans have a literacy age below 11 years old, you want people to starve? 💀
3-methyl butyraldehyde is a compound in a blueberry. Think about that. 🫐
Reminder that Himalayan pink salt is NOT ‘better’ or more healthy than normal table salt. 🧂❌
The trace minerals in pink salt are in such useless quantities it makes no difference. Consume up to 1 teaspoon of whichever salt you enjoy the taste of. 🙏🏼
It appears some people aren’t aware that TYPE 1 diabetes CANNOT be ‘cured’ or reversed. It’s an auto-immune disease that attacks your pancreatic beta cells = reduction in insulin. 👍🏼
TYPE 2 on the other hand can be managed / reversed with dietary and lifestyle change. 🥦
Avoid these terms and you cut out >95% of the ‘wellness’ industry bullsh**
🚩”Clean foods”
🚩”No chemicals”
🚩”All-natural”
🚩”Toxic”
🚩”Inflammatory”
🚩”Detox / cleanse”
Start 2023 off right, say NO to buzzwords that have no real meaning
@spectatorindex
Guys stop freaking out over headlines. The IARC does NOT take into account the dosage and isn’t even a food safety agency! Aspartame is one of the most heavily studied food additives in existence and the European Food Safety Authority & JECFA have deemed it safe for decades.
Isn’t it funny that these ‘wellness’ influencers push you to distrust conventional medicine…
Yet at the same time, sell unregulated, untested and unproven ‘natural’ supplements? 🤔
Funny that.
@carnivore_jt
Definition of ingredient: “a component part or element of something.” So actually the compounds in a blueberry are still ingredients.
Also there are plenty of ‘naturally occurring’ ingredients added to manufactured foods. Your logic is 💩
In a world of misinformation you need facts, and
@dr__idz
has built a huge following on TikTok for providing precisely those. From the true nature of carbs to the intricate workings of inflammation, this brilliant book will help many next year:
If you don’t have a good ‘gym session’ or workout —> 😢
just remember that you still got up, did something active and stuck to your plan ✅🙏🏼
That’s better than >80% of people (actual statistic from research)
Recently I made a video on menopause and fat gain and a woman told me “If you’re not a menopausal woman, you don’t get to speak.” 💁🏻♀️
So I can’t treat someone with heart disease, diabetes or cancer because I don’t have it? 🤦🏽♂️
Remember this. Anecdote ≠ knowledge. 📖
CHEMICAL CHEMICAL CHEMICAL CHEMICAL CHEMICAL CHEMICAL!! 😱❌💀
Did that scare you? 😁
Anyone who demonises “chemicals”… as if it’s a catch-all for ‘bad’, is NOT someone you should be getting your health advice from 👍🏼
When someone says: “if you can’t pronounce it DON’T eat it”. ❌😱
Just know that it says more about their literacy skills than it does the healthfulness of a food 😬
Just because YOU can’t pronounce it doesn’t mean it’s bad. 🤦🏽♂️
Reminder: 22-Dihydroercalciol is Vitamin D4.
@nogonoba
You’d need more than 10 glasses of wine a day to reach the dosages of resveratrol required to ‘slightly’ reduce your blood pressure. Watch my recent IG post and read my added comment. The amount in red wine does nothing.
The irony of people stressing over added flavours, preservatives or oils in their food: 🍲🥞🥪🥗🍩
is that the stress of nitpicking all of your food is likely doing more harm to you than any of these ingredients ever will. 💀❌
It’s called balance ya muppet. 🙏🏼

Apparently some people think you need to poop after every meal 💩 That’s simply nonsense. ❌
It’s very normal for people to go 3x a day or 3x per week. Consistency and colour are far better indicators of bowel function and health. 👍🏼
#pooinpeace
Worried about gaining weight this Christmas? 🎄 Live a little and stop worrying about holiday weight gain.
Most of it won’t even be fat. It’ll be water weight 💧 Poo 💩 digested food 🥘 and glycogen 🔥. It takes ≈7000kcals above maintenance to gain 1lb of fat.
This is horrendous logic. The fact that the label only says “blueberries” doesn’t take away the fact that the food STILL contains ‘hard to pronounce’ and ‘scary’ sounding ingredients. 🤦🏽♂️
The point is: just because an ingredient sounds scary - doesn’t make it harmful.
Someone really just compared SMOKING to consuming seed oils 🤦🏽♂️ When will the demonisation of accessible and affordable food stop? It’s some classist sh**. ❌ DOZENS of controlled trials show they’re beneficial. ✅
STOP putting up barriers to ‘healthy living’. 🍏🍲
Reminder that you don’t need to concern yourself with blood glucose ‘spikes’ if you’re not insulin resistant or type 2 diabetic. ❌
And no - neither sugar nor glucose spikes cause type 2 diabetes - an excess of calories & inactivity does. 🍔
If you don’t have any energy —> go for a walk. 🚶🏽♂️ Sounds counterintuitive but walking works to oxygenate your cells and get blood flowing through your body and brain. 🧠
Those who stay in the house all day are the most ‘tired’. 🤝
BREAKING NEWS CNN ‼️ “Zero-calorie sweetener linked to heart attack and stroke, study finds”
No CNN.. - they didn’t even assess dietary intake of erythritol, it was plasma levels which we make ourselves 💀 (Watch below for in-depth analysis) 👇🏼
Friendly reminder that ‘Probiotic supplements’ are useless. Don’t give in to the supplement industry. Just eat a variety of plant based & fermented foods 🥛🥦🥕🧀
To cut out >90% of garbage health advice from your life - avoid these 2 types of content: 🙅🏽♂️❌
🚩1. People in supermarkets shouting at packets of food (shirtless or otherwise) 👕
🚩2. Video clips of ‘Experts’ on podcasts claiming they have the solution to all your problems 🎙️
@Twicethenice1
Watch my recent IG or Tiktok video. Even 1 unit of alcohol a day has detrimental effects on the brain - and Mendelian randomisation demonstrates a causal pathway to stoke and peripheral artery disease
Quack quote of the day: “A single 13-15 hour fast boosts testosterone levels by 1300%” 💀🦆
Well done Dr Mindy Pelz (Chiropractor) 👏🏼👏🏼 Well done for winning todays award.
Intermittent fasting is NOT superior to any other method of achieving a calorie deficit. ⏰🤦🏽♂️
When calories are matched - IF protocols Vs non-IF protocols show no differences in body composition, cardiometabolic, inflammatory or appetite related outcomes (Xueting Wei et al 2022)
Just seen a video of a woman stating that “potato juice 🥔 cured her 14 year old daughter’s strep throat infection” 🤦🏽♂️
Possibly one of the most dangerous videos I’ve ever been sent. ❌ Strep throat is NOT A JOKE. It can kill!! Go to ur doctor fml 🤦🏽♂️
Sometimes I really get concerned about the state of the USA. You lot really eating Borax (laundry detergent) over there? 💀
I’ve been sent Borax videos about 300 times so far. I think it’s time for school 🏫
Paul Saladino once again cherry picking data. He claims “Spinach is horrible for you because it causes stones…” 🥗
You know what increases your risk of stones even MORE?? MEAT & ANIMAL PROTEINS 😂🥩
PMID: 32652950 (Meta analysis of 50 controlled & observational studies) 📖
Gentle reminder that High protein diets do NOT ‘stress’ or ‘damage’ your kidneys (in healthy kidneys). ❌
If you have pre-existing kidney disease then yes a sensible protein restriction will likely help to preserve kidney function. ✅
Influencer: “There’s NO magic pill to fix blood sugar issues!” 💊❌😡🤚🏼
Also influencer 2 years later: “Buy my magic pill 💊 so you can eat whatever you want and have perfect blood sugar!!” 💁🏻♀️😁👍🏼
Do people really think doctors WANT you to be sick?
Imagine spending $100,000’s, over a decade of your life studying, learning, exams, most stressful environment, learning how to manage and treat complicated conditions —> for Karen to tell you “You want us to be SICK!” 💀💀
@DoubtfulDoughty
@RyanOrHarvey
And what do you think Diet Coke or sugar free squash is? Sweetener / compounds in water. The drink is almost entirely water. Case closed. Your logic is appalling. Class dismissed 🏫
I recently mentioned BMI in a video and the comments were a MESS 👀 —> so let’s clear this confusion:
“Is the BMI a valid predictor of health risk?” 🤔
YES it is! ✅ - let’s dive into it. 🙏🏼
I regularly receive comments like “Dr Idz PROMOTES JUNK FOOD!” 😤🍟🍔
Gentle reminder that correcting people on the utility and safety of a food / ingredient is NOT the same thing as endorsing that food for every day consumption. 🤦🏽♂️
People deserve to make informed choices.
Did you know that 5 out of the top 10 leading causes of death in the world are entirely preventable? ☠️
Ischaemic heart disease, stroke, COPD, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity. ❌
Do you know what can prevent 4 of them? Your diet. 🍲 Let that sink in.
Doctor STRIKES today in the UK!! 🏥 ✊🏼In case you don’t know why this is happening:
We spend 5-7 years at university, end up with £70,000+ debt making £14/hr as a fully qualified doctor 🤦🏽♂️ We’ve seen the biggest loss of pay over the last decade.
#JuniorDoctorsStrike
@CSPI
@IARCWHO
Stop freaking out over headlines. The IARC does NOT take into account the dosage and isn’t even a food safety agency! Aspartame is one of the most heavily studied food additives in existence and the European Food Safety Authority & JECFA have deemed it safe for decades. 🤦🏽♂️
Imagine thinking a compound in veggies is bad for you when ALL of the human evidence shows these foods are massively health PROMOTING 😂💀 people like this are muppets. Don’t buy into it.
@LowcarbLiberty
That’s not even the topic at hand. What a terrible strawman. All I said was “your ability to pronounce an ingredient doesn’t dictate its healthfulness” and you’re piping on about the carnivore diet. 💀
Let me guess.. you can’t read food labels can you?
@JPB_Islington
My friend. That’s not how the scientific process works. The only evidence is found in rats who are given a ludicrous amount of aspartame in a very short time period. If you’re making a claim, you need the HUMAN evidence to back it up.
If someone says “this food is INFLAMMATORY!” ❌
❗️Ask them: how does it cause inflammation?
❗️what inflammatory cytokines are you specifically talking about?
❗️What effect does this inflammation have?
❗️Finally, “where are the citations for your claims?”
Watch them sweat. 😰✅
@SOgnenis
@YungFika
@h3h3productions
No one said there isn’t a potential for corruption or biases within funded data - the sole point was: “you cannot simply dismiss evidence based on funding source alone.” Anyone involved in academic research knows this. Unfortunately 99.9999% of the population aren’t.
Are there really still people who believe you need to consume protein within an hour of working out in order to grow MORE muscle? 🪟💀
Every month I get tagged in videos about it 🤦🏽♂️
There’s a narrative being perpetuated right now —> that intense exercise worsens cortisol related health issues like belly fat 🏋🏽♂️❌
That’s false. Intense exercise transiently increases cortisol BUT over the long run lowers the stress response to psychosocial stressors. 💪🏼🔥
Do you think it’s healthy for women to pursue / maintain a 6-pack?? 🏋️♀️
My stance: it’s possible to be perfectly healthy yes. But we cannot ignore the increased prevalence of hormonal / menstrual / metabolic complications amongst female athletes. 🤝
@DoubtfulDoughty
@RyanOrHarvey
FYI.. we don’t use water in IV’s 😉 we use NaCl, Dextrose or a combination of salt, glucose and various electrolytes in water.
@Twicethenice1
That’s completely fair enough! As long as you make that decision with the correct information at hand which is what I’m educating people on. ☺️🤝
The Organic Food industry is largely a SCAM! ❌🥕
Dozens of studies show that organic vs conventional food have similar nutritional properties, organic food still uses pesticides (just different kinds) and they’re sometimes 2-3x more expensive. 🤦🏽♂️ PMID: 31861431
I seriously had to make a video on IG / Tiktok just now responding to someone saying “losing weight does NOTHING for your health”. 🤦🏽♂️
Imagine pushing a narrative that obesity isn’t harmful in a society where 70% of the population are overweight / obese. 🙄
Does Red Dye 40 cause cancer?
Is brown rice better than white rice?

in our latest interview with Dr. IDZ!
@therealallpro
Exactly. Aspartame is basically the most heavily studied food additive that’s ever existed and people think one article is going to change its safety 😂🤦🏽♂️
Vegans: meat is the problem
Ray Peat: energy is the problem
Shawn Baker: carbs are the problem
Layne Norton: calories are the problem
Aajonus: cooked foods are the problem
Paul Saladino: seed oils are the problem
Jocko/Goggins: your mind is the problem
Jack Kruse: lack of
Today I had to correct someone that said “STOP EATING FRESH FOODS” in supermarkets - because it loses nutritional value in transport. (No it doesn’t) 🤦🏽♂️ that video has millions of views. 💀❌🍓

Did you know there’s a pill 💊 that decreases your risk of DYING by 20%?
Yes. That ‘pill’ is walking 1000 steps. Don’t dismiss the impact a little bit of movement can have on your health.
However - it is important to acknowledge that the BMI is VALID - and in the vast majority of cases = the higher (& lower) your BMI —> the greater your risk of various chronic diseases and cancers.
I hope this cleared up some confusion 🙏🏼💙
@orthodentin
@spectatorindex
Some people will experience headaches from aspartame but that doesn’t mean it’s bad or harmful. In the same way you can be intolerant to ANY food or ingredient. People can die from eating peanuts that doesn’t mean they’re bad. Same thing.
