Dave Roberts was player-manager when @MorecambeFC won the FA Trophy in 1974. In the 90s, his winner's medal was stolen in a burglary. In 2013, Rod Taylor spotted the medal was up for auction & bought it in secret. On Saturday, he gave it to Dave. #UTS

No Jake Taylor for the Shrimps for up to the next six weeks with a calf injury is a real blow. He was just starting to show his real quality. I feel so sorry for him, a great player who just can't catch a break.

🧵 Some context. We arrived at 5 & it had been raining since 2 & wasn’t due to stop until 9. There was standing water & the ball didn’t bounce in penalty area or roll in corners. I suspect the game wouldn’t have finished. The videos didn’t do justice to how heavy the rain was.
