New update to the Takeover rules!
To summarize, stack totals are due each Saturday, but if you want to take advantage of bulk orders, you can request to have the stack held to continue building on :)
My uncle was just found unconscious on his apartment floor.
He didn’t make it. He fought Covid hard.
I’m heartbroken. Especially since I didn’t get to see him at all during this.
10 years ago, today, I did my first ever card show.
This was when I was in some of the earliest stages of developing the takeover on Twitter, with little to no audience, and lucky to sell $5 worth of cards on here in a week!
I owe the longevity of the takeover to you all 🤘❤️
This is the first time I ever touched sports cards.
My great grandma, Irene bought me a binder and packs of cards.
I loved them so much and flipped through the pages over and over and over again.
Without “Grandma Great” there is no takeover.
Prayers and vibes up please.
I am evacuating to a friends house in an outer portion of Minneapolis, resting go and going back for aid in the morning.
My wife is handling the overnight aid shift at the place that is on high alert for an attack tonight, and I’m nervous for her.
My uncle just tested positive for covid, and is in terrible health.
My dad took him for the drive up test and is highly at risk and now has to be on watch.
My mom has to avoid him within their house.
I’m mad, and I’m scared.
Doing some last cuddles. Just made the call for at at-home euthanasia in the morning.
I’m worn out and will be pausing takeovers til later in the week.
Lost an old friend to cancer today. We played many a shows together. He was so kindhearted, and fought the disease so hard.
Reminded me today to live for joy and happiness and not sweat the small stuff.
May we all enjoy every second we get.
One of the first “takeovers” I ever did.
I sold about $5 worth
For whatever reason, I believed that if I kept showing up, others would too-even using something weird like twitter as a selling platform.
Fast forward to today, & I can’t believe how this thing has grown!
Don’t worry about negative hobby Twitter.
I’ve watched people complain about new people coming in, bubbles bursting, and changes since 2011.
It’s still here.
7 years ago, today, I decided to setup at a card show.
I didn’t know much at all, but I was pumped to be a collector again.
There was no takeover yet, and I had no idea something so cool was right around the corner 🤘❤️

People always ask why players retire so young, but also forget that the years we see on tv aren’t the only years they played.
So many before that, and that’s alot of wear and tear on the body!
Real excited about the trajectory of the takeover right now.
Ever since this wonderful woman left her corporate job to join me, shipping has gotten so much faster, she’s made me new business cards, made yet-to-be launched merch, taken over accounting, and continues to be her…
