My take on the “is Clark a bully at the end of Superman II?” debate: Yeeaaahh, probably 😆. But it’s a bit of fallibility I can accept, & I actually love that THIS version of the character (the god living among them) gives the victory to *Clark*. Also, S&L did the best version.

I’ll say this: One positive result of THE FLASH for me is that it helped alleviate some of my frustration with the SMALLVILLE finale for rendering Superman via CGI. At least it was Tom Welling’s actual head for close-ups & not an entirely virtual construct! (1/2)

This is what it was all for. Mark Waid, one of my favorite writers, shared on our podcast & elsewhere how he feels that Ma & Pa being alive infantilizes Clark. Respectfully, this child of the 90s (who grew up with the Triangle Era + LOIS & CLARK) will always feel otherwise.

📺 4 seasons seems to be the magic number for many #Superman TV shows. (Yes, I know Adventures of Superman officially ran 6 seasons, but Seasons 3-6 = the same number of episodes as Seasons 1-2.) Gives me even more appreciation for Smallville’s epic 10-year run!

The #kennermanofsteel line of #superman toys was the centerpiece of my action figure playing & collecting as a kid. My original figures are long gone now, but I tracked these down on eBay & am so glad to have them to display now. (Bonus: I never even had the Lex figure as a kid!)

🦇 Picked this up today. 🤞 Hoping Filmation Superman gets the same treatment. As much as I have the DVDs, it would be great to see the best version of it. B/w Warner’s 100th & Superman’s 85 this year, it feels like now’s our best chance of getting this & other wishlist items. 😬
