The Codegate CTF platform used a dynamic flag generation solution to prevent cheating. DiceGang and Balsn submitted the exact same flag for the ARVM challenge which shouldn't be possible.

We will be more careful about cross-team participation. Switching mid-competition is ok if no info is shared between teams. After solving and submitting a flag for a different team however, it's not possible to switch fairly and we will explicitly disallow it.

A player on Balsn occasionally plays with DiceGang. He started Codegate with Balsn, solved ARVM (and submitted), noticed that nobody else on his team was playing, and decided to switch to playing with DiceGang.

On DiceGang, he resubmitted the same ARVM flag. Nobody else on DiceGang or Balsn was aware of the switch. Notably, this player also later solved VIMT for DiceGang which Balsn did not solve.
