on my nikaah, all my overwhelm translated into hating tht there was makeup on my face. ended up throwing my first tantrum in YEARS but this guy spent a full hour telling me jokes on stage and successfully got me in the shaadi spirit. marriage is great guys, 10/10 would recommend.

'GPA doesn't matter'...only if you're privileged, man. socially and financially- if you can afford to intern for peanuts to gain experience, or focus on extra-curriculars without social hindrances. to get a scholarship (or get into grad school), a good GPA is so so important...

best thing about islamabad is ease of access to trekking/hiking. went to trail 7 this weekend, moved away to climb the highest hill and to my surprise, found a mazaar/shrine at the top under a beautiful tree. watched the sunset & did a moonlight trek on the way down. maza aagaya.

my amaa getting married in 1993 while her best friend does her hair and makeup. my parents got married in their neighborhood park. weddings were so wholesome+ communal back then and not a whole commercial experience.

love how the winter to summer change is called 'mausam ka khul jaana' because it is so apt. the sky opens up to give more light for longer, the air feels lighter, birds and animals come out-- almost as if there is new energy surging out with the change in weather.
