So Paula Vennells has handed back her CBE less than a week after the last episode of the drama Mr Bates v Post Office. The power of public opinion shows what can be achieved. The Government need to take note with the quashing of convictions & compensation.

Our Mini 1275 GT. We owned this car in circa 1979. What made this model interesting was that it had had an engine performance upgrade. At the time it felt very quick!! However, by 30k miles it was all over with the engine exhausted! A Gold Seal engine then fitted!

Today has been a day of celebration for our 2016 VW Up Street. With just shy of 124,000 miles on the clock it sailed through itโ€™s MOT with no advisories. We have had the Up since new & it has been serviced religiously. All the same impressive for a small 3 cylinder engine!

911 Carrera 3.2. I was very fortunate to own these four 3.2s in the mid 80s / to early 90s. The attraction:- Design. Performance. Reliability. Simplicity. Covered 1000s of miles in the UK & Europe. Never a single mechanical issue. My conclusion:- Surely one of the best 911s ever!

Another glorious day. Delighted to see this traction engine this morning, together with attachments, pass by our home.

My 83 911 SC Sport was a 911 that evokes special memories. Although, this was my second 911 SC what made it was that this model featured the 911 Turbo rear spoiler. It really looked the part! The spoiler, featured on this model for two years, and then came the 3.2 Carrera!

Our daughter commented:-โ€˜Learning from Mum & Dad today that after nearly 24 years of marriage, and some years prior to that, their Valentineโ€™s Day has ended in a debate as to when they first met. Dad has responded with โ€œwe can work it out by what Porsche I had at the timeโ€.

My late father was something of a Volvo addict having had 9 Volvos from the late 60s to the early 80s. Solid, reliable, safe, quality cars. With the 145 estate Volvo captured the estate market! The ES1800 looked the part! Never recall a single Volvo breakdown!

My RR P38 came out of storage about a week ago. Off the road for over 4 years. MOT pass & a new battery fitted. Just completed a wash & polish etc. Looking good. Will put back on the road in Jan as a fun car! Suspect also time for a head gasket replacement! Will provide update!

Defender refurbishment update. The Defender enters the final stages of the refurbishment process. Looking outstanding. A few minor finishing details and the task will be completed. This team have performed a refurbishment beyond all expectations.

The problem with โ€˜Porsche Nutsโ€™ are that they always want what they havenโ€™t got. Although, my 83 911 SC was great there was this dream wish for a Carrera 3.2. 231 bhp up from 204 bhp. A great deal of hype surrounded the launch of the 3.2 Carrera, and justly so. I finally got one!

@piersmorgan Just give it time and I feel very confident that your views regarding the Duchess of Sussex will ring only too true. Having listened to Alan Jones on Sky News Australia you were by comparison remarkably restrained!

@annieashton2705 @mik61scot Aside from the free bets all betting on line should be stopped. All advertising should be banned just in the way they did with cigarettes. Iโ€™m very sorry to hear of your tragedy.

There is something almost brutal but elegant about the front end of a classic Aston Martin. A nose that radiates a sense of performance asking you to politely move over; as one appears in your mirror. The photos, credit to persons unknown, go some way to illustrating my point!

I adore my cars but certain boats also attract my attention. The 28 Fairey Hunstman being one such craft & this Riva Aquarama with twin Lamborghini v 12 engines being another. Not my photos & I give credit to whoever they were taken by.

A family member (also a car nut) is currently on holiday in California. She spotted this Rolls Royce in Rodeo Drive, LA. What a colour, but there again probably the right colour for LA to get you noticed. Iโ€™m told that the parking meter matched the colour of the Rolls!

Iโ€™m not a massive fan of hot rod classics, but I spotted this example in my local supermarket car park yesterday. What was attractive about this example was that the conversion was not over the top, and had to a degree preserved the heritage of the vehicle.

What a better way to celebrate Sunday with these four wonderful DB5 Aston Martins. Credit for photos goes to persons unknown. Goldfinger was released in 1964 circa the year of manufacture for these four examples. Who would have predicted that the DB5 would become Gold itself!

The Porsche 944 I see very much as the model Porsche that has never been the โ€œunforgottenโ€™ Porsche but the Porsche that has now resurfaced. Many examples fell into ever increasing states of disrepair as they accumulated multiple owners; making good examples now a rarity.

For 7 consecutive years from the late 80s into the 90s each November I competed with a friend in the BARC Beaujolais Challenge:- from Villefranche to Calais. Setting off at midnight the vehicle completing the run in the shortest distance was the winner:- circa 400 miles.
