And this wouldn't cut so deep if I didn't genuinely love the band. But anyone - ANYONE - putting out a contract like that has no respect for photographers. We, as a collective, do some incredible work that other creatives appreciate. Sadly others don't. "There goes my hero" 👎

Honestly? F*ck that. I've spent 15 years learning my trade and spent thousands on gear, only for someone worth $330m to literally take my own work off me? Nah. And, as they'd own the copyright, legally I wouldn't be able to use the photos myself for anything.

@chrisatyeartist @foofighters Not quite right, but not far off. I'd be there as an accredited press photographer, rather being there "for them". As a condition of shooting the show for the magazine I shoot for, they want me to sign over all the rights to my work.

@superlorna69 @foofighters The "control your likeness" is kinda a moot point nowadays given how many thousands of people stood right behind the photographers are filming the show on smartphones. I also did approach their PR company to see if there was a less aggressive contract, and that was a no.

@EccyHealy @foofighters I totally take your point. My issue is with the way they are doing it - specifically point 2 in the contract, which has been added since their last tour. Controlling their image? Cool. Exploiting accredited photographers by taking full rights to their work? Not cool.

@arseblog Too many lost heads in the senior team. Xhaka, Ceballos, Bellerin, Willian, Auba were all terrible. Partey, Smith Rowe, Ainsley, Nelson and Balogun would all put a shift in at least. Leno's looked a shade of himself since Emi left, too.
