It's remarkable how many people out there reflect the Phil Fisher quote, "I've already made up my mind, don't confuse me with the facts."
My

Check out "The Thucydides Trap" to better understand the unfolding dynamic between China and the USA. It also explore similar dynamics between rising and ruling powers over the past 500 years.
Also, "From Third World to First" by Lee Kuan Yew on the rise of Singapore is superb.
Brilliant read. Thanks to

for the recommendation.

"Rain falls outside my window.
One could spend a lifetime examining it
For it is real, it is here, it is wet, and cold
One need not speculate about it
Or wonder if it exists
Or work toward it.
It is real, it is here
It is Truth
And thus worthy of one's time."

@BrianNorgard
is a masterful product architect and investor. Brian’s work embodies the essence of Andy Benoit’s quote:
“Most geniuses prosper not by deconstructing intricate complexities but by exploiting unrecognized simplicities.”
The interview below is time well spent.

He gives us a master class on product development, shared where he thinks VC investing is going, and goes really deep into why the audio interface is so important.
Highly recommend this one!
What I see as a must-watch interview between

. Respect to Chamath for the sincerity to objectively examine his insecurities, especially in a public setting. Refreshing to see an investor discuss the mental game of the craft and combine it with analysis.

We talked about where he is invested, where he thinks the best opportunities are coming out of the crisis, how he would solve the health & economic issues, and why being patient will pay off.

I lost ~50 ETH on FT over a SIM swap hack. Privy has been fantastic throughout the process. FriendTech didn’t reply. I’m glad that they are implementing this to protect other users.
It’s a huge deal if $STX has a win-win relationship with regulators. It reduces the odds of the asset going to zero from a regulatory crackdown. This increases the expected value of the investment.
“Heads I win big, tails I don’t lose much.”
I still really don’t see anyone mention that $STX received the first ever approval by the SEC to sell tokens in an IPO.
In an industry facing increasing scrutiny, I wonder if this is important.
@100trillionUSD
The chart from
@PanteraCapital
says BTC has a 0% correlation to the S&P 500.
You've recently been saying BTC and the S&P 500 are closely correlated.
Can you please clarify?
Pitched bitcoin to institutional investors last week. Presentation started with these 3 charts: Sharpe ratio (
@woonomic
), zero correlation with other assets (
@PanteraCapital
), correlation and cointegration with stock-to-flow (
@100trillionUSD
). Amazing response!

Seems likely that the Fed will continue the course they’re on until something even bigger breaks. There’s a good argument that their current actions are just a temporary bandaid to the regional bank weakness. Powell wants a legacy where he’s compared to Volker, not Burns.
To invest successfully over a lifetime does not require a stratospheric IQ, unusual business insights, or inside information. What’s needed is a sound intellectual framework for making decisions and the ability to keep emotions from corroding that framework."

I put STX in the bucket of a highly skilled player in an uncrowded space. Everyone working on sexy Ethereum L2s and boring Bitcoin has been forgotten about.
STX has a real short at dominating the niche of Bitcoin programmability.
Ordinals have catalyzed a cultural shift in
#Bitcoin
that will work to $STX's benefit. For those that want more programmable uses of $BTC, applications built on top of
@stacks
will provide what they seek.
@cburniske
I’m actually thinking the opposite given the anemic market response to the ETF approval odds going way up with the SEC saying they aren’t going to challenge the Grayscale decision. I think $BTC should have really moved higher on that announcement on Friday.
@zaoyang
@surojit
So many brilliant VCs are making the fatal error of seeing DAOs as “cryptocurrencies” that should all trade like bitcoin when they’re actually an evolution of the legacy corporate structure and should be considered unique Internet-sovereign equities.
Angel investing is attractive because it forces you to see the investments as businesses instead of pieces of paper you trade around.
A great Buffett quote comes to mind:

I think the fact that "Direct Truth" quickly became Number 1 on Amazon's Hot New Releases shows there are more sincere wisdom seekers out there than we think.
DeFi’s biggest growth is still ahead. Lots of great off-chain collateral like real estate, aircraft, and cars still can’t be used in lend / borrow markets.
Interesting to see a potential
#bitcoin
decoupling from equities. This may be a false signal of a bull market. June 2019 turned out to be. But one cannot deny the macro backdrop around the space now. It feels like we are entering a new paradigm for this asset class.

If that happens, 74% of the US 2023 federal budget would go to making interest payments on the current federal debt (13% of $33 Trillion / $5.8 trillion in 2023 budget)

@PegNetNews
is interesting as a layer 2 solution for scaling Bitcoin transactions. pBTC (pegged Bitcoin) is a stablecoin on the network pegged 1:1 to Bitcoin. What matters is the system builds communal trust in sustaining that value. In that way, pBTC could be a proxy for BTC.

Corporate governance today works by letting shareholders vote on a board of directors.
DAO governance today works by letting tokenholders vote on changes to smart contracts.
Future DAO governance could let tokenholders select a "board" to oversee changes to smart contracts.
