UC downtown SF is a good long term idea to have a stable community of people who live and hopefully spend in the area. I don't see much downside but I can't imagine UC moving quickly on this.

SF is relatively safe for me- but that doesn’t mean much. IMHO the targeted attacks on Asian seniors who take public transit is one of the most vile things going on and has been going on in cycles for decades now. Reducing these attacks should be utmost enforcement priority.

Going downtown I got a ticket for supposedly failure to display proof of payment for $125. I swiped!! and even saw my clipper balance. Apparently, talking to the agent at the station it says I got on the K train at 12:30AM instead of pm today. Appeal is on the way @SFMTA_Muni .

@Momifornia1 @Ahsha_Safai I live in D11 with a family of five. We go to GGP usually by car. It hasn't been that bad finding parking since JFK closed. I totally support car free JFK. Taking the 29 to the park is painfully slow. Public trainsit speed to the park could be greatly improved.

@IDoTheThinking I agree but as a resident of those said neighborhoods for 8 years a lot of the SFH are packed with people. My 1200sf SFH has 6, and most of the houses around us are this way. The housing stock is really just bad.

@BariAWilliams I grew up in Oakland, my fiends and family a bunch of them still live in the E. Bay. As an adult I haven't heard so much hopelessness and despair from long term residents. For my mom- the recent murder of the 7-11 guard at 27th and Harrison was just horrible. She knew him.

@IDoTheThinking My parents are in their 80s and own a duplex in downtown Oakland. I have been trying for ages to get them to sell and move into one of the nice condos that have just been built. But it's a no go. My dad just likes living in his own home even though ititss hard for him to maintain

I saw the videos of the fights at Stonetown. I will never share them. While I think there should be repercussions for violent acts. I also think that the videos are used to divide us.
