The Sixers are the most affected team by wrong calls in the last 2 minutes in the 2023-24 season, according to the L2M reports. The Lakers and the Celtics are also in the top (well, bottom) 5. The Nuggets are the ones who benefited the most throughout the season!

The @Bucks have the least amount of passes per possession in their series vs @BrooklynNets ever since passing data is tracking in 2013-14. The Bucks' offense has basically turned into ISO offense. In 1st half of game 3 they had 0 (half-court) passes in approx 21/43 possessions

55.66% of Jokić's assists end up as layups/dunks in the Restricted Area. That is the highest rate out of the top 50 players in total assists this season. Sabonis and Draymond have <=30% AST rate in the RA (among lowest out of top 50) - that makes Jokić's numbers more impressive

On last week's @AthleticNBAShow 's Nerder She Wrote, @MoDakhil_NBA said that "we continually account assists wrong", and that they're being handed too easily. I plotted "real" and "fake" assists with pbp data from 01-02 to today. (more info on real/fake ast in thread)

(3/) It was even more obvious that he shouldn't clog the lane in this play which was one of the rare turnovers by Tatum in this game. Notice how he gives up the position to screen Grant for space. This is kind of a very subtle, but very important detail IMO

Lauri Markkanen is (IMO) the frontrunner for this year's MIP award. Here's a comparison of shot attempt frequency by zones from this and last season. He is taking very "analytically friendly" shots, from either paint or 3pt land with a big increase in the paint

Which players were Jrue Holiday's defensive assignments throughout these finals. I saw this type of chart (or the version in a second tweet) in articles by @SethPartnow through the playoffs, but haven't seen them for the Finals so far so wanted to give it a look.

PJ Tucker defending KD through entire series: 35/77 overall FG, 8/26 FG3 -> this equates to 50.64% eFG% which is about 7% less than KD's eFG% in playoffs. His impact was real Middleton also kept him at 53.57% on eFG%

This is regular season only, since 08-09, with 1 minute or less remaining, when the player's team is trailing by 3 or less points (or tied). Couldn't really filter it to "game-tying or go-ahead" shots but this is close enough

I saw this chart by @owenlhjphillips a while ago and finally caught time to do something like this. Out of 88 mid-range shots made by @CP3 , 84 of them (95%) were unassisted!

I made a version of this chart based on something @SethPartnow wrote a while back & reiterated today "...the midrange game isn’t dead, as it remains the province of star shot creators, with just under 75 percent of all midrange shots being self-created."

Curry's pace to achieve this record is scary. Could this be an "unbreakable" record if he plays on for another 3-4 seasons?

Zašto ne dati šansu Mavri barem minute u 4. četvrtini nakon sjajne izvedbe u 3.-oj. Apsolutno nejasno. Zašto Hezonju ne staviti prije na Fontecchia, zašto držati Simona u igri koji je bio potpuno indisponiran, i zašto Matković nije prije ušao nakon što je Zubac plivao...

Jrue Holiday fits perfectly as a 2nd/3rd scoring option on a team and should be a player a lot of young players can look up to. Ever since he got traded to Bucks he has been shooting lights out on pull ups. He might be taking fewer shots, but he's a lot more efficient
