Here's a power supply I found in a free pile at some event. Nice little Mean Well power supply module in a project box. 120V AC input via a standard IEC C14 power socket. +5V DC and +24V DC output is also a standard IEC C14 power socket. Neither socket is labeled. Feeling lucky?

A post from @rabid_inventor reminded me of this project I did 10 years ago. It was kinda fun to put all thru-hole parts *inside* the PCB. The board almost got down to a SMD design in height. The paperclip CR2032 battery holder worked quite well.

I recall apple pulling something similar with their keyboard usb extension cables. A notch inside the receptacle would prevent other, non key-wayed usb connectors from using it. (I also think someone once maybe came up with a plausible reason why...)
