Spine surgeons see problems from many different angles. That is why it’s prudent to get more than one opinion. But be wary of surgeons who use high pressure tactics to get you to sign up for surgery when no other methods have been tried.

Hi guys. Love you. Subscriber for a long time. This headline is frank gaslighting. Do better. Someone laughed at kids getting shot. Stop normalizing it.

I thank you for this. But, the voting rights act and on the minimum wage vote, which, even as a business owner I SUPPORT, she failed. Roundly and flatly. Unfortunately, Senator Sinema wrote her own political failure, and chose to do a lot of ill-advised political theater. Its

So I hope everyone paying attention is seeing the forest. Cutting medicare reimbursements for doctors. Check. Capping nursing salaries check. Preventing insurance companies from posting BILLIONS of dollars in profit PER QUARTER. No check. What's going wrong here?

When adjusted for inflation, Medicare physician payments have dropped by 22% from 2001 to 2021. So why are you cutting it more? How much money have you saved? You’re digging in the wrong place.

@NLN
Can you clarify - you support LESS training rather than more because.....you want to push out less experienced and knowledgable people to take care of patients? Not clear on the stance on this.

They missed their window to gaslight everyone so now it’s the mental illness card and threaten people who don’t agree with them. Now where have I seen this show before…..

When clout chasing itself jumps the shark. The time honored and very effective teaching of practical anatomy is critical 2 all Med students, Especially those interested in surgery. Diminishing also to those who donate themselves or their loved ones to medical science. No.

I have five Shoa survivors in my practice. They are dwindling needless to say. Their souls to me seem burnished so brightly by enduring that pain and loss. I hold each and every one dear. They are singular people to be both admired and heeded.
If a patient falls, & you can see their cranial plate & their shunt tubing - washing it out at the bedside, stitching it up, & sending them on their merry ain’t a good idea. PLEASE call your friendly neighborhood neurosurgeon. And if they think that’s ok, please ask again.
The same people who won’t pay your medical bills just potentially violated HIPAA for over 100 million patients, all because they didn’t enable two factor authentication. Something all of your doctors do when they prescribe you things like medicines.
Hold them accountable.

More than 15,000 NHS doctors left Britain last year.
It can cost up to £400,000 to train them.
It’s only fair on the taxpayer that new doctors and nurses should stay here for a given period of time.
@TPP_MD
good on you. People don't realize how we as physicians compartmentalize, sometimes good - and sometimes it is erosive. Blown pupils is obv a bad omen, but you did your best to get the patient taken care of.
@olsonplanner
Tyler we have a fixed set of charges called a charge master. We bill the insurance and they give themselves a discount or don’t pay altogether. Then they bill the patient for their own care that the patient paid the insurance company to pay for. That is how a medical bill is born
@olsonplanner
Or my favorite is when they called an emergency spine surgery to save a woman’s ability to walk a “cosmetic procedure” and denied the claim, even though all the notes said she had become paralyzed from a tumor pressing on the spinal cord and all the mris said the same thing

I’ve done both. And I say this is our lane (once, again, +forever). I watched a kid bleed out of a gsw that nicked his LAD, and numerous people who committed or tried suicide by shooting themselves in the head with a firearm. Things maybe people should actually see 2 understand.

I did it last week bud. Tell them what you know. And if they can’t listen then they are probably beyond reach. I feel like fear is and has been the main emotion causing people to hesitate. Reassurance can work but some are beyond saving.

@jbarro
Josh you missed the point. The healthcare system is not infinite. Folks are choosing a more dangerous path and, like everything people made, there are limits. They are being tested. Rationing (which I fear) does not mean we don’t want people to have cvg. We want people to live
