Today, My lovely 30 year old eldest son was hit by a train. He is clinically brain dead. Currently on a ventilator but there is no hope. He will be on an end of life path. Devastated. We all loved him so much. ❤️
I can't reply to everyone who has commented on my post about my son. I appreciate the kindness and support that has been sent my way.
At the moment they have delayed turning off life support until the morning so he is still with us in body until then.
@IanBlandThatsMe
Thanks. I wasn't going to post anything but I felt the need to cry out. Theres nothing anyone can say really, we just have to deal with it in our own way. Grief is a horrible process.

It would have been easier if she'd have just said my "parents were from the Caribbean" and got on with it for the sake of equanimity. But so many people don't do this these days and are always seeking conflict.
@AvonandsomerRob
The planet might be getting warmer, but this is largely because we are in an interglacial period. The activity of the Sun will also affect this. It's not man made. We might cause pollution and degrade the environment, but when it comes to global warming our effect is minimal.

There was a time when people made allowances for the older generation when they may not have handled race issues delicately. But these days, it's instant defenestration. There is no forgiveness in the world today.
@hearnimator
It's actually a costume from the Wall which is a parody of fascism and he's done the same for the past 40 years. I don't agree with his antisemitism, but the Nazi costume and props are supposed to be anti-Nazi (for context).
@labourloyalist
Sorry to hear that. It just struck me though how the word malevolence must have originated from male violence. It sounds like your daughters partner is quite malevolent.

Who do they think would win an election that they haven't already tried and do they think another unelected PM will wash with the public?
@realsb4feelings
Should we support a fellow European democracy against a more powerful aggressor? Yes. It's not just for Ukraine, it's for Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia or Finland who would be next.
@AvonandsomerRob
Sorry, but he just doesn't know when to wind his neck in. Most people go about their business every day without calling people paedos. Fox is just a compulsive in replying to Tweets or news items that most people would just let go.
@MaryMargOlohan
She's obviously been complained about which is why the police were here. And the police officer said other incidents, so she has done it before. We aren't getting the full picture and the police imo behaved reasonably as she wasn't giving any information as to why she was there.
@PaulEmbery
I find it odd that these protestors are obviously well funded and provided with so much courtesy by the police. It's almost as if they are state backed protesters, moreover they have the same tactics abroad, so possibly UN/WEF backed - which would explain the police approach.

Why didn't ITV schedule the interview for after the D-Day celebrations? It seems a bit of a stitch up - admittedly mostly of Sunak's making, but ITV could have saved his blushes by moving the interview.
@AllisonPearson
My theory is that the young spend all day on social media reading how racist America is and they equate the same with Britain. However, the demographics of the UK and the US are totally different so can't be compared in that way.

The left today are the equivalent of what Mary Whitehouse was in the 70s. The only people that used to complain about cultural phenomena such as this were the "Outraged from Tonbridge Wells" types. The same happens today, but it's the opposite political spectrum.
@AvonandsomerRob
I've no problem with this, if it means that millionaires who live off profits from property and don't pay much income tax, start contributing to the pot, which is what this is actually for.
@YakCarnt
Yeah they love a PDP, employers these days. I'm 54 and a guy I work with is in his sixties and it's the same for us. What do they really expect our plan to be? So you just go through the ritual every year of saying you'll learn this, that and the other, but not actually doing it.
@AvonandsomerRob
I bought a car from Cinch over 6 months ago and I've had absolutely no problems with it. I'd say it's as reliable as buying a car from any franchise. You just have to take a bit of a punt, but you can return it within the first 14 days if you don't like it.
@debbiebarnes66
Immigration was never going to go down due to Brexit. Our entire economic model is based on bringing in more migrant workers. There aren't enough Brits that want to do menial jobs. All we've done is swapped European workers, for ones outside of Europe.
@BohemianAtmosp1
My other half had Covid last week, we have both had 3 jabs. Won't take any more as the information is obviously out of date and the Government aren't including having had the virus as a means of immunity. Which it obviously is. Why are they ignoring this?
@MLovetube2
I just checked google street view and there's now a big blurred out blob where the house would be, so they've obviously censored it after this.
@LeftStoke
Every time cars behind go over a bump in the road, it looks like they are flashing their headlights, so half the time you wonder if you've done something wrong or there is something wrong with the car..
@nickdixoncomic
The thing with Vlad was, he didn't live in a time of mass transit. If more people were available to him at the time, I'm sure that he could have impaled a larger number than he did.
@ArchRose90
Probably because the production team are about Mizzy's age (relatively speaking) and probably spend all of their time on TikTok, so to them this is relevant news.
@LittleBoats2020
This is like 1984, where "every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted." What right have the publishers to do this?

It hasn't been said outright that Steve took his own life. I admire your honesty here as everyone else is skirting around the subject. RIP Steve.
@benonwine
There's a van parked in the end sport and looks like it has room in the parking space, so why can't the rangerover to the same. Also, he could have parked in one of the spots that didn't have a car next to it.

Adviser: "But Prime Minister, if you try to catch a rugby ball and drop it, won't there be headlines about you not being a safe pair of hands?"
Sunak: "It'll be fine"...
@LOVillaJavea
When you see stuff that doesn't make sense, like the wholesale price going down but consumer prices rising, you can only come to the conclusion that this a green policy to make us use less energy. We are being centrally controlled.
@Spy5Wire
The only reason that the far left would want refugees here, is because the right don't want them. It's just opposition for opposition sake. What about jobs for British workers and fair pay? Immigration brings this down.
I promise I won't keep posting maudlin tweets about my Son. My original post had many replies that were really lovely and supportive. I thank everyone for this with my heart. x
What a tragic month this has been. My son died 5 weeks ago tomorrow, my partner found out she has lung cancer and will need an op and she just found out today that her brother has died. He was 65 and died of a stroke, but it's still a shock. It's ridiculous really.
@joerichlaw
Sounds like a fair policy to me. The richest will already have other pensions or investments to cover their old age. It obviously depends where the threshold is set.
