@bern_identity $15/hour is not "exploiting children for cheap labor." 14-year-olds are voluntarily choosing to work. $15/hour is a very good wage for a teenager. In a time of a labor shortage, especially in low-end jobs, employers will hire who is available and willing to work.

I know I’m biased but it’s pretty clear @NPCoachRalph ’s squad was the best high school football team in Indiana this year. 14-0, state champ against a great Valpo team, beat a 6A finalist on its home field by 19 points. It’s a special team and it was fun to be along for the ride.

@_dmoser The cars are decentralized - all people going from their origin to their destination. The bus requires them to fit someone else's schedule and get to and from the stop. The bikes are slow and not protected from elements. The cars are still a superior mode of transport.

Every intervention in the market carries unintended consequences. The eviction moratorium has, predictably, shrunk the supply of available rental housing, which has raised rents. It also has incentivized landlords to cover themselves by requiring more money up front.

@frankmcd77 @WhitlockJason Indiana-Michigan was 92-83 last night. Iowa-Ohio State was 82-73 and featured a 29-point/10-rebound/15-assist triple-double from Caitlin Clark. Neither game was "slow" nor "boring." Both were really, really high-level basketball.

@KaseyKlimes @sgodofsk Financial wealth often leads to better quality of life. The average middle class house in the U.S. is much larger than in Europe, most families have multiple cars (transportation freedom), access to abundant grocery items, parks, can afford entertainment, restaurants, et al.
