Congratulations to senior Isabella Gizzi, who scored her 1,173rd career point tonight to become the Dragons' career girls basketball scoring leader, surpassing the record of 1,172 set by her mother, Sarah (Haynes) Gizzi from 1990-94.
Tonight junior Isabella Gizzi became the 3rd member of the Dragons girls basketball 1,000 career point club. Isabella joins her mom/coach Sarah (Haynes) Gizzi and Raegan McMurray. Congratulations Isabella!

Before tonight’s boys’ game, senior Maximus Gizzi was recognized for becoming New Palestine’s all-time leading scorer, breaking a 41 year old record. Former record holder Tom Giles presented Maximus with a commemorative basketball. Congratulations Maximus!

Dragons win the 9th sectional title in school history. It's the first time ever NP has won both conference and sectional championships in the same season.
Congratulations to coach Trent Whitaker, who passed Brian Kehrt as the NPHS boys basketball coaching wins leader with tonight's 77-60 victory over Roncalli. The Dragons have a 127-86 record under Coach Whitaker's tenure.
