Got reminded of this pic recently while reading Ganguly's "A century is not enough". Vajpayee told the contingent leaving for Pak in 2004: "Khel hi nahi, dil bhi jeetein". A simple yet eloquent message. The team actually managed to do both. The man truly had a way with words! RIP

Rayudu scored 3 50s and a 100 in 2018. Avg 56 and SR 90. After 2 failures in 2019 he is "exposed" Dhoni couldn't get a 50 in 2018 in 20 games. Avg 25 and SR 73. After 3 good scores in 2019, he has "silenced his critics" Speaks more about our cognitive biases than these players.
