Our tribute to a real Cork hero, Rena Buckley just off Washington Street opposite the court house.
She has more All Ireland medals than anyone ever. Please genuflect and roar 'Up the Rebels' as you pass. :-)
Every fella (and beour!) is welcome in Cork!
The paint is hardly dry on this new South Mall traffic box but we are delighted with the big reaction to it already. It features Nigeria's legendary musician Fela Kuti...

Local artist Alan Hurley and PROC teamed up for this portrait of Paul O'Donovan & Fintan McCarthy on the corner of Liberty Street and North Main Street in Cork City.

Boots pharmacy have neglected the side of their building on the corner of Paul St and Patrick St. for years.
We couldnt wait any longer for them to clean it:
The Rena Buckely box off Washington Street was removed (we assume by a crazed
@CorkCamogie
fan who is using it as a sideboard in their suiting room) so today she has been painted closer to the city centre - just off Patrick Street at St. Peter & Paul's. Yeeoo!

GAA RULE 23.6: It's a free against you if you force the opposition to put you in a headlock and rugby tackle you to the ground. Especially if youre from Cork and you're winning in injury time.
We spent lunch time trying to come up with a name for a
#PureCork
gym and this is what we've come up with.
J'think he'd be up for it if we could convince
@jackie_lennoxs
to run the in-house chipper?
Shout out to the Limerick fan in 2022 who roared "Cork are s**t c**ts" on repeat for the entire second half at the top of his voice in the City End terrace in PuC.
Thinking about you a bit today, fella.
Monstrous turnout for
#climatestrike
in Cork City. Superb speeches. Any bluster about Cork's youth being too stuck in their phones and politically disengaged, is BS. Rebels abú.
WEATHER TERROR ALERT - LOUGH FROZEN. All ferries from the Ballyphehane side of The Lough to the Glasheen side are cancelled until the ice breaking ship arrives at lunchtime.
How about a Cork video portal that connects to another portal also in Cork so we can look at more of Cork?
It's so daycint, like. Why would you want to look at anywhere else?
If you're not from Cork you might understandably think this scene is photoshopped. S'not though - this is just Cork's Lough looking pure go deas in the

today.
Some langball didn't like the "union jack" on the Icelandic box on Washington Street in Cork City centre.
It has now been superbly restored by Tom Doig and langer-proofed with a magic potion, along with the other two boxes next to it.

When Pana retailers like
@eason
plaster the front of their shops with loud, gaudy advertising like this it really cheapens the look of Cork's historic street. You'd expect more class from an otherwise great Irish company trading since 1812.
Grade: vomit.
Cork beat the Dubs today to be crowned u20 All Ireland champions. We could retweet all the great scores, but this clip is more inspirational. Absolute psychotic drive. Corcaigh abú!!
Im on a train in Italy going at 300 km per hour, amazing feeling. Imagine Ireland with proper train system, Dublin to Cork in under an hour. Belfast Dublin In 40 minutes??Galway Dublin In half an hour!!!
The Lough Café, formerly and very briefly "Alchemy at the Lough" finally re-opened this morning.
Given the location, we are slightly disappointed it wasn't renamed Star Ducks or Quackachinos, but glad they've finally got all their ducks in a row to open up.
Nice s'wan!
We're on the look out for Cork based artists who'd like to get involved in street art. All work is paid - no "we dont have a budget, but this will be great for your profile" BS.
Use the contact form on to drop us a line.

You just know there are a few oblivious heads around town today wondering how a DIY shop on North Main St. could have sold out three gigs at
@P
áircUíCha0imh.
The hum of lawnmowers around the city and county has ceased. All of the grass in all of the gardens in all of Cork has now been cut.....
Gonna be a long two weeks, feens.
The year-round advice for all Corkonians is to stay out of Dublin.
Rebels who mistakenly moved there should apply for our repatriation grant: currently a choice of a 6 pack of Beamish or 4 litres of Tanora.
First pic of the royal visit to

BTW Cha is looking for more sauce. Can we get him more sauce there please feens? Has anyone seen the sauuuuce? SAWWWS BIYS SAAWWWS!
We're all for

but there are some basic langers out there that'd make you want to stand ON them if you caught them doing this to our city.
We de-langerated it today. H'on the Rebels.
By boarding up their windows it's like Starbucks on Pana are pouting after losing their planning battle with
@corkcitycouncil
having blatantly broken the law. Sure, wouldn't your heart bleed for them and the €45 their Irish arm paid in corp tax in 2016?
We finished the clean-up of this great
@reimaginecork
mural and portrait of Lord Mayor Terrence McSwiney by Alan Hurley very early this morning - a new Lord'a will be elected tomo night.
Respect the past but don't be afraid of the future.
Up the Rebels.
Cmere how lucky are we to have The Lough? End of September, 22 degrees, heads balmed out all over the shop, hurling, rounders, tight rope walkers, shifters shifting. Yet another reason to love the PROC.

RETRACTION AND APOLOGY: we made a HUGE mistake writing an article about the Panaban last week when we said over 20 businesses have opened since early last year. It's actually 30! Thanks for the feedback. Updated list here:
Swear t'God, if we catch this LANGBALL in the act....
Even though it was there only a few days before we got to it, the spray paint seeps into the old limestone of Patrick's Bridge quickly making it really difficult to remove without 'ghosting' (which you can still see).
They say crime doesn't pay, but if you get arrested in Glengarriff, Co. Cork you could end up in one of the world's most attractive police stations.

With the praise being lavished on Dublin's footballers, as Corkonians it's important for us to highlight that their success was bought.

Cork is now Ireland's least covid-y county. H'on the Rebels!
If this continues, when setting restrictions, d'Gubbermint must differentiate between great and awful counties. Lift the 5k limit in Cork and put the Dubs and their fireworks on Level 6!
Hon the Rebels!! Having put the fear of God into the Russian navy, causing them to relocate next week's military exercises, an armada of Cork fishermen are now en route to the Black Sea to sort out the tension in Ukraine..
Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney says Russia's plans for naval exercises, due to be held of the south west coast of Ireland have been relocated
