I fear not the coach who has practiced 1000 plays one time, but the coach who has practiced the one play 1000 times. Good teams do one thing really well. Have an identity. Don’t practice until you get something right, practice it until you can’t get it wrong.

Ring the bell! Last day of my wife’s chemo treatment! She was battling a fight that wasn’t going to be fair. A 16 seed vs a 1 seed. Another battle won in a long war. I’m caught up in wonder at her strength and His provision.

What a last 15 months; my wife getting (& beating) stage 4 cancer to losing my job. But God is still on the throne! We aren’t called to understand why, only to obey. Thankfully we didn’t walk it alone, the support has been humbling. We are blessed, our cup runneth over.

I enjoyed having all the state championship games at one site this year. Watching 7 state championship games was awesome and hats off to UCO for being such a great venue and host. We at @OFBCA got great feedback and look forward to many more years of a one site championship.

The sound of ‘cancer free’ sends a sweetness straight to the soul. I’m proud of my bride handling everything she had to go through. She fought like a champion, prayed like a warrior, and endured like a boxer till the final round. Praise God for his unmerited favor!

Hard to put into words what losing so abruptly can do to a person. If I believe a program isn’t validated by wins on the scoreboard then I have to believe that losing doesn’t lessen a program’s legitimacy. We will stay the course! We won’t give up or give in. We are…Pirates.

I’m caught up in wonder …at her strength, courage, and faith. This is the one year anniversary of cancer free for Deann Jones! What a journey. What a testimony. Through all the chemo, the pain, and the hairstyles (lol), her faith was always evident. I’m so proud of her.
