Honestly, @BstokeLabour selections have these guys rattled. I’ve met the candidates selected and certainly not champagne socialists. More integrity and better values than the majority of Conservative Cllrs in #Basingstoke and certainly the ones running their social media.

A huge response on #labourdoorstep today with residents signing our petition against site traffic being sent down their only road in and out of #Winklebury . Nearly 1400 directly affected and nearly 400 signatures on day one of collection. #DemandBetter #ChangeTheFuture

In some non-political personal news, last week I was successfully promoted to Principal Agile Delivery Lead at #Dunelm on a temporary cover basis. The next 9-12 months are going to be a journey for me that’s for sure but looking forward to the challenge ahead.

Maria, that’s not quite true is it. Let’s be clear (as Lisa Nandy was). We’re in the middle of a housing crisis. Nearly 5k people on the housing waiting list here in #Basingstoke . We need RESPONSIBLE building and more importantly INFRASTRUCTURE to support the growth.

Pleased to say that at this evenings full council I was nominated and approved to become the new chair of @BasingstokeGov ’s Community, Environment and Partnerships committee. Lots of things to start marking in roads into and I’m looking forward to the challenge.
