I am proud of how I competed! I truly gave it my all. I felt like this last throw would have made all the difference in getting into the final.
Thank you all for watching and your support π
After missing a chance to compete in the Tokyo Olympics, I came into the Paris Olympics with the mindset to give it my all and have fun with it! Often we take these speacial moments for granted. One thing I have learned from Tokyo is to appreciate every moment I get to compete β¨
Okay, the Nigerian ladies are currently cooking something in women's Discus event. Chioma Onyekwere is currently in the GOLD medal position with a Season's Best of 61.70m, and Obiageri Amechi has just thrown something big, 56.99m to go 3rd...is it too early to start dreaming?π³π¬π³π¬
Shameless Nigerian officials at the Games Village in Tokyo have taken the Samsung phones given to athletes by organisers of the Olympics - Sunday Adeleye
This is a new low.

I AM AN OLYMPIANβΌοΈWorking a full time job as an automotive engineer, all while pursuing to compete at the peak level of achievement for any athlete has been anything but easy. I am proud to be an Engineer and to now call myself an Olympian. Tokyo Olympics here I come!
It has come to our attention that 10 athletes are not eligible to compete in Athletics for Nigeria, including myself. The athletes are not at fault for this. Please we need your help on how we can waive this so all 10 of us can compete.

We are all so proud of you - CiCi Onyekwere, Fordβs design and release engineer for F-Series Super Duty. Your Ford family wishes you all the best at the Tokyo Olympics. Build Ford Tough! Your hard work, talent and dedication are now on the world stage.
It does not feel great to know the blood, sweat and tears put in this season are not reflected in the results. I have trained along these athletes I know what we are capable of.
On my way to practice, right before heading to the Olympics. My car was totaled in a hit and run π. It was my first car too, a ford fusion energi. Since coming to Europe, I have seen

From crying into my best friend shoulder at Tokyo Olympics [grieving my chance to compete] to tears of joy in the Paris Olympics watching her win an Olympic gold for Dominica

Any one talking about keeping track under a 3-hour window by cutting field event, lemme give you some perspective.
Only one event can be run on a track at a time. Meanwhile multiple field events can be going on at the same time.
This was never about time.

PAIN! I slept through my hair appointment today π. What is so frustrating is that I was so excited for this appointment, that I packed my bag the night before
No she wasn't crying, she just couldn't believe she had won GOLD! Having won double Bronze 2 years ago in Durban, Chioma Onyekwere today won the GOLD medal in women's Discus, beating her National teammate & friend Chinwe Okoro, to win with a mark of 58.09m

As I head back home, I just want to thank everyone for the support they have given during my Olympic Journey. My first Olympic did not start or end how I thought it would, but this is not the last you will see of me.
