When the market bottomed in Mar 2009, it took about four months before they were plentiful sound companies breaking out of sound bases. The devastation amongst growth stocks this time around has been similarly bad. Be patient!

Important lessons: Cut losses; stay in cash until a follow-through day; be aware that over-concentration combined with over-leverage leads to nearly all blowups; live below your means; keep a pile of money out of the market so you can breathe (this is self-care); stay positive.

Cont. I never dreamed I'd recover and hit new highs as quickly as I did, but as I mentioned on IBD Live, I was fortunate to be up 1,371% in 2020 and 186% in 2021. This year has been dismal and I've given back a large part of last year's gains.

Over reliance on psychological indicators (contra indicators) has been a primary factor in my poor performance in 2022. They are called "secondary" indicators for a reason! It is rare to see this much persistent bearishness and oversold levels w/o a tradable rally.

The Problem with TSLA IMO, the real reason why TSLA stock has been so weak on an absolute and relative basis is that there is and has been simply too much “hot” money in the stock for far too long and Mr. Market is correcting that situation.

TSLA now most oversold in its trading history in terms of weekly and monthly stochastics. PE compression from 220 to 37 (24x forward) since it first hit these levels in Aug 2020 prior to Berlin/Austin gigafactories. Forced selling typically creates long-term opportunities.

CONT. In the case of Tesla, there is a large cohort of smart, informed retail investors that understands the company and its potential and are in it for the long term. This is a sound strategy that, IMO, will pay off over the long term (5 to 10 years or more).
