So far, most DNA-loop-extrusion data were taken on naked DNA. But what happens on chromatin in cells where DNA is loaded with many proteins? Will SMC proteins (that are fast but weak motor proteins) get blocked? Or find a way to translocate the roadblock into the extruded loop? /

Vandaag heeft @DonCeder afscheid genomen van de gemeenteraad. Burgemeester Halsema sprak hem toe met de woorden van Jezus uit Mattheüs 25 waar Don zijn werk in de raad mee begon. "Want Ik had honger en u hebt Mij te eten gegeven; Ik had dorst en u hebt Mij te drinken gegeven."

Leuk nieuw thuisprojectje gedaan: Een ‘memory lane’ gemaakt: onze lange hal behangen met foto’s uit het verleden, ~1 foto per reis die mn lief en ik samen maakten. Alles bij elkaar bijna 90 foto’s, elk met een eigen herinnering en verhaal. #coronatijd #waardevol #teveelgavefotos

This was the last photo taken of Liron. A trained paramedic, she stayed to help the people wounded by Hamas. Her father begged her to leave, but she chose to stay and save lives. Hamas found her and shot her. These are our angels. May Liron’s memory be a blessing 🕯️

Op 1 mei 1006 verscheen een zeer heldere ster aan de hemel: supernova SN1006. Nu, 1013 jaar later, is dat een gaswolk met een doorsnede van 60 lichtjaar (570.000.000.000.000km!), met een grote schoonheid zoals te zien in bijgaand #beeldvandedag

Eens. Ik heb kritiek op het gebrek aan voortvarendheid waarmee Hugo de Jong zijn ambtenarenapparaat en GGD in beweging wist te krijgen voor testen en vaccinatie, maar wat heeft deze man met grote inzet en dossierkennis enorm hard gewerkt voor het landsbelang. #HugoBedankt

Bijna twee jaar. Alleen maar bezig met de coronacrisis. Alles opzij gezet. Inclusief zijn gezinsleven en veiligheid. Minister zijn is een loodzware baan. Hij kreeg terecht en onterechte kritiek, maar hij ging door om ons door de crisis heen te helpen. Dus daarom, #HugoBedankt !
