On this day 25 yrs ago I drove for ~14 hours from KY to a Super 8 in Elk City, OK (en route to CA where I'd call home until 2014). Checked in, turned on the tv, and Sam Donaldson told me that Jerry Garcia--one of the reasons for my move to California--had died. Love you Jerry RIP
