The way Djokovic has been treated since winning the first appeal is an utter disgrace. He is not a threat to Australia. He didn’t come here to excite any unvaxxed movement whatsoever. They perfectly know it. Yet after a week of not being able to ensure they’d win on the basis

Cancelling Djokovic’s visa for public interest. Like the guy is a menace for Australia… Yet it took a week and until 6pm on Friday to make decision about such menace. Again: giving exemptions is putting players into a political game they’re not made for. Bad idea from the start.

Difference between Djokovic and Voracova is that one can pay for a full team of lawyers and one can’t. Should the Tour automatically provide legal counsel? After all, she was picked up from an officiel competition, then deported with a 3 year ban that will prevent her from working

Hearing Shapovalov saying these two weeks have been draining. Which is normal. Then think about Djokovic being on an AO - RG and Wimbledon finals streak + u add the pressure going with the hisory making bonus in Paris.Again, he's entirely something else in the game & in the head.

That’s a rough end of Olympics for Djokovic who started them so well. But he committed fully, tried his best and accepted to face this historical challenge so props to him. Physically, it’s a wonder he went through clay - grass and Tokyo so well. Let’s hope he can go to NYC, 100%

Let’s also not forget the people rotting in this detention hotel for close to a decade now. They shouldn’t go back into the shadow because Djokovic is out. Same as the covid cases won’t go down as soon as Novak is in the plane… Like, collective wake-up call needed there.

If people think hostile crowds are the key to break that man, they might wanna replay USO 2015 final or Wimbledon 2019… Getting under his skin has often proved more helpful…to him. Novak’s biggest nemesis here will be himself, really. 1 down, 6 more to go.

If I get this Djokovic mess right: he's now not having issues at border because of the exemption (as it's been granted) but because he doesn't have the right visa. So have the other players who have been exempted already entered Melbourne without issue (and so w/o uproar)?

Also knowing how sad Krejcikova has always been after her RG title went, in her opinion, unnoticed, and her value underestimated, it has to be special to win here despite hearing the crowd cheering so loudly for Paolini. Her racquet did the talk again.

Djokovic reaching week 286 as world number 1, joining Sampras. Will pass him this month. Quite the feat! But the only number he cares about is 310. It’s the next one, the record of Federer. One who many thought wasn’t gonna be broken ever. But look who’s running to it...

Djokovic starts his Grand Slam quest, trying to do the "Four-In-A-Row".Craziest? 1) He has already hold the 4 Grand Slam titles at the same time in 2015-16. #NoleSlam 2) He has already done 3 times the "Little Slam" 3) He's the 1st in Open Era to win each GS twice. #LetsNotForget

"I didn't expect that in the darkest dream, it was just too much," said Voracova, who admitted bursting into tears during questioning. It was as if I were watching a film -- a long interrogation with instructions such as 'undress, get dressed'", Voracova from last Rt.

I still don’t understand why the Tour didn’t just freeze those Wimbledon’s points… Makes little sense to destroy the ranking like that in a power struggle with the Slams when u say I do what u do to protect the players…

There was everything in Djokovic’s reaction after match point. He went through tennis hell for two years, he got his confidence shot like never before. But he came back, again. What A Champion.

Djokovic says he's not a fan of the change Wimbledon made this year in allowing players to practice on Centre Court before the start of the tournament. Says he never thought someone would be allowed in before the defending champion.

Djokovic became the 5th man in history to win the first 3 Grand Slam tournaments of the season: Jack Crawford (1933), Don Budge (1938), Led Hoad (1956) and Rod Laver (1962,1969). The place in history he has created for himself in this legendary era of the game.. Utter madness.

Remarkable that gov isn’t even asked how this exemption process, apparently a safety hazard for Australia as a whole, has been able to be implemented with the full knowledge of Australian authorities. They’ve basically been suing themselves for a week. But why make sense, hey?

What also made the Big 4 a league of their own is the fact that they never lied to themselves. Djokovic comes to press saying I’m not at Alcaraz level right now, he was better in every area, I see I’m half a step behind,I have to get back to that level. Zero excuse nor pity party

Can’t believe the winner of that match doesn’t get the trophy… Tricky now for Djokovic: needs to recover, forget he just beat Nadal and try to go through Tsitsipas. Won in 5 sets last year in semis vs the Greek.
