Just to inform our younger tweeters regading the old/new Boris imperial monetary system. There were 12 pence to a shilling and 20 shillings to a pound, for example: 1.88p (a litre of petrol) will become £1.17 shillings and 7p. That's £8. 7shillings and 5 pence a gallon. Easy no?

To answer some of the cririsms of my post: I live in Italy. Have both passports. Insurance was NOT required everything was FREE. 90 days is temporary before it was LIFE. International driving licenses were NOT required. Retire in the EU is now problematic. It will get much worse

AMBULANCES: Where I live in Italy the ambulances are not all parked up at a hospital, they are positioned all over the province in villages and small towns and strategic places, so when calls come in it is given to the nearest ambulance to that call, so they arrive within 6 mins

Boris's imperial weights explained: A kilo of spuds is say £1 1 kilo is 2.2 lbs. That will be rounded up to 50p a lb, It will look like the spuds are cheaper but in fact it will be 10% more expensive. Generally prices will increase by 10% but look cheaper, a typical Boris trick.

Italy is producing the entire UK range of sweets/snacks. From Mars bars to After Eight, from Twix to Bounty et al. Of course they cannot use the word 'Bounty' so they call it Coco Chok but its exactly the same and at 34p against the UK price of 75p This made possible by Brexit

So the DWP has given me a pension of £44.83 a week ! Asking why it's so small I'm told that in 1972 I missed a NI stamp payment of 17 shillings (85p). Asking if I can now pay it, I'm told no way. So how glad I am that I became a Pirate and stashed away enough for a happy future !

A question of numbers. The Steve Bray situation shows us it took 6 foot cops, 2 more in a police van and the Home office to temporary stop our man Steve. If there were 2 Steves they would need 16 cops. With 1000 Steves they would need 8000 cops which they don't have, they lose.
