I used to get delayed bags in college (2006-2010) but can’t remember the last time it happened. Never ever lost a bag in 20 years of flying. That being said, I recognize the comedic potential of me jinxing this record with this series of tweets.

I checked a bag just today just to play with Alaska Airlines’ new automated bag drop machines and it was a total of 2 extra minutes and no human interaction required!

@can No, you're right. I'm a checked bag truther like you, and people who haven't checked a bag in 20 years have no useful frame of reference on the topic. It's very rare to lose or have to wait for one, and it's very easy to put really important stuff in a carry-on.

one thing took me a while to wrap my head around about management is how much of it is prepping for things - prepping for meetings, for 1:1s, for hiring convos, for sales, etc etc. you prep everything you are gonna say, you put in so much effort so that it feels “effortless”
